May 14, 20187 yr As far as I can see, not even The Best of Kylie Minogue is available on iTunes anymore. :o How strange! I've also just seen that the CD-only version is no longer available to buy on Amazon (as new) or HMV. The CD/DVD version is still available on Amazon as new, but it says "Usually dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks." which I suppose indicates lack of current availability? Ultimate Kylie doesn't seem to be available anywhere other than second hand. Neither of them are on Spotify either. So, Kylie currently doesn't have a definitive career spanning Greatest Hits available in the UK? :o I wonder if that possibly suggests that there are forthcoming plans for a brand new version? :thinking:
May 14, 20187 yr Good point Jay. A definitive collection would be best and I'd say that would be most likely if they were to release one in celebration of her 50th and 30 years since her debut album. Another 'best of' likr the 2012 release would be pretty underwhelming.
May 14, 20187 yr A definitive collection would and should be released to celebrate her 50th and also her 30th year in the music industry. The last Best Of released was badly handled and the track listing was highly questionable. She has so many singles to pick from that she could release such a strong set and songs like All The Lovers, Get Outta My Way and her recent releases would be all making their debuts on a best of style collection. That said, as she was under different labels would it be even harder now for her to release a collection that would cover all eras. I know at the time of the Ultimate Kylie release there was complications due to this issue.
May 14, 20187 yr About what I expected. I thought the 1m+ predictions were a little ambitious given that's usually what the channel's top shows receive.
