Scarlett was incredible too, she's come SO far from last year and even her audition. You don't always need to be some ready made star who can rap, dance, sing and cartwheels, there's so much soul to her performances and she's just so likeable and that's why it's The X Factor, not The Voice. Her and Shan are easily the best!
Actually really enjoyed the choir :o The main girl's voice is great but I think that's one of those songs that just really fit them and their energy, I don't know where they would go from here or what their commercial viability would be.

Scarlet delivered, loved her performance, the girls are really on form.

LMA Choir, I really don't know why they are on this show to be honest, but based on that performance I think they be safe enough, but I can see them getting dumped probably in Week 3.

Judging what's I left I feel Danny Tetley and Brendan could be heading out this weekend if they are dumping 2. Or is it one from each category.

Armstrong's performance is one of the worst things I've ever seen on the show and he got a standing ovation

Watching on +1 and I just can't take it seriously anymore. Seeing Ayda Field sat there  Nah, I'm switching off.

Acacia and Aaliyah, unfortunately that track did nothing for me, it sounded like Cleopatra :D in places. Wrong song choice.

Dalton was better than he's been so far, probably down to a really good song choice! Idk though I can't take to him as much as I maybe should.

Actually think any of the overs could go, as well as maybe Armstrong I'd have thought SURELY. Should be Armstrong and Giovanni (well it should be Brendan but it won't be).

Yeah Dalton really surprised me, hopefully he keeps it up.

Overall it was a really strong show I felt, my favourites were Anthony and Gio. Ola was a guilty pleasure as well. :P

Armstrong was just terrible though!

Oh great.... Keala Settle performing... This Is Me storming the singles chart after the results show :drama:

And Rak-Su

...really scraping the barrel with the live acts in the first weekend of the lives. :(

My star ratings out of 5 for tonight:

4.5 Brendan Murray | A predictable favourite but he could sing the phone book and I'd love it. I just adore his voice. The arrangement was fab too and I really liked that he went for a more inspired song choice.

4.5 Shan Ako | A beautiful vocal, such a stunning performance and carried out so effortlessly. I still think there's more to come from her too!

4.5 Acacia & Aaliyah | I think they had some unfair criticisms. Easily their most accomplished performance thus far! So much fun and I loved the song choice too.

4.5 Janice Robinson | I'm not sure it was enough to carry her through unfortunately, I think it could easily be lost among the other acts this series, but I loved her performance.

4.0 Bella Penfold | Surprisingly brilliant! Not been so keen on her but this felt sincere and polished for the first time.

4.0 Molly Scott | I adored her version of FAKE LOVE the first time round and it was the same here, lots of potential I think!

3.5 Dalton Harris | A great voice and presence, although I think he can do even better than this!

3.5 Misunderstood | Catchy song, performed well, plenty of room for improvement as the weeks go on though.

3.5 LMA Choir | A pleasant surprise! Easily their best to date.

3.5 United Vibe | There's potential but I'd like to see a bit more originality!

3.0 Scarlett Lee | An undeniable vocal but there's nothing unique or special about her yet. I'd like to see more signs of artistry!

3.0 Armstrong Martins | I appreciate that he took a risk and did something different but it didn't quite work out. That said, the rap on its own actually sounded quite good, hence a middling score instead of a poor one.

2.5 Olatunji Yearwood | Fun, but basically a lesser Misunderstood.

2.0 Anthony Russell | I mean, I guess it meant a lot to him but it didn't do a great deal for me the first time, and it was the same a second time.

0.5 Danny Tetley | I don't think he can sing very well anyway but the vocal was definitely poor tonight and the big notes sounded AWFUL.

0.0 Giovanni Spano | godawful

An enjoyable show on the whole and lots of potential all round actually, I was surprised by the quality. Tough to call who will go tomorrow - I think Olatunji may suffer as he appeals to the same audience as Misunderstood, who do the same thing basically but better and more polished. Surely the public won't buy into that Giovanni crap too?? :(

01 Shan 9.5/10

02 Scarlett 9/10

03 Bella 8/10

04 Dalton 7.5/10

05 Molly 7.5/10

06 LMA Choir 7.5/10

07 Janice 6/10

08 Acacia & Aaliyah 6/10

09 Olatunji 5/10

10 Misunderstood 5/10

11 United Vibe 4/10

12 Giovanni 3/10

13 Danny 3/10

14 Anthony 3/10

15 Brendan 1/10

16 Armstrong 1/10

A&A were pretty disappointing out of the ones who were my faves going into the show (them, Scarlett, Shan and Molly), Simon was right imo, it was a bit too cutesy and safe and American for them. Would be fine with any of them below A&A going tbh.

Judging what's I left I feel Danny Tetley and Brendan could be heading out this weekend if they are dumping 2.

Brendan is going nowhere. He has teenage girls and gays in his side. ;)

There was definitely more bad (not even necessarily bad in some cases, just a LOT of room for improvement) than good tonight. Shan was the clear highlight of the night. Her voice is stunning and Imagine was the perfect choice to show just a fraction of her abilities. Scarlett was up there too, always love hearing Natural Woman and her take on it was impressive.

I do feel like tomorrow's anyone's game though, I can't call it. Ideally any of the Overs (bar Janice) could go and I wouldn't care, but it's looking likely Janice is a possibility.

I’ve just seen that Janice is bookies favourite to leave first :o god I would hate that she’s got so much more to give !

Aww no please. :(

If there's justice, Armstrong, that awful Choir and Danny (or Giovanni) will be in the bottom 3. -_-

As I'm Irish of course I like to support if an Irish contestant makes it to the live shows but I just don't like Brendan's voice and I said the same when he represented us at Eurovision in 2017.

The three lowest acts on the iTunes chart are:

Acacia & Aaliyah (not on the top 1500)

Armstong (1140)

United Vibe (680)

The three highest are:

Shan (68)

Anthony (76)

Dalton (88)

(Molly Scott's performance isn't on iTunes)
