Is Louis Tomlinson really THAT big though  He's not z-list but still.

I think getting any member of One Direction, the biggest pop group of the decade, is a big catch! Louis is the most predictable one but yes I'd say he's a very big name, more so within the younger generation than the older viewers (who Robbie caters to more). I've seen a lot of buzz on Twitter for him from 1D fans!

Edited my post, I meant more chart wise but you have a point! I’m not sure it’s a big achievement getting hype from 1D fans though :kink:

Louis as a soloist isn't exactly huge, although it's perhaps worth noting that he's the only 1D member left to have a 100% top 40 record with his singles :magic: but of course he's mostly known for 1D and I think that will secure him relevance for quite a while even if his solo music does bomb (like Miss You lol).
That's the first time I've ever heard Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson described as z-list celebs!

It just feels the show is a bit tired now and the worst judges for a long time, there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between them, but I did say there is room for improvement, in the end its only Week 1 :P

Just watching now on +1

Louisa Johnson came to mind with It’s A Man’s World’ too. Louisa’s version is my most favourite performance of all time. Just incredible!

Really not liking the cast at the moment. I’ve never liked Robbie, not sure who Ayda is but I’m not liking he eitherr. Louis seems okay, but I’m not 100% sold on him!

I didn't absolutely hate the show but it's almost worse that it was just so... Boring? It just felt like a total vacuum of the fun that auditions can bring, and there wasn't an abundance of undeniably great talent to help out. I can't take to the judges at all, Ayda is ok I suppose, Louis is a total charisma vacuum and Robbie just likes it to be about himself. It was a bit of a slog to watch to be honest and whilst I'm always like "it's X Factor I have to watch" and often there's nothing else on anyway, it's going to be a task to keep bothering with this series.
I do like x factor but it does seem so stale. As I always say Simon thinks it's more about the judges than the talent.
Ngl I expected even less but I suppose it did have the curiosity factor of being a premiere with practically a whole new judging panel.

I expect tonight will be down to 4.5 million?

There has got to be a limit as to how far it will drop. There will be people who will continue to watch out of habit/nothing else on and also those who genuinely still like it.

It will be interesting to see how much it drops against Strictly next week.

Me and Bray will be watching with takeaway in tow *.*

Oh fanny ell a Brer visit!! :o

Will ye de chart stats??

Also how was this? Was it shet?

5.67m watched the show last night

That’s the lowest launch ever and 500k down on last year’s 6.2m!

That is TERRIBLE

It might dip to EE 3 mil figures tbh

I think im one of the viewers who watch out of habit, as it doesnt excite me anymore,i do generally prefer the live shows though.

I'm sorry but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard, nobody should sing Kate Bush but Kate Bush and least of all someone who couldn't even sing his own eurovision entry

He sounds like pre-puberty Niall Horan with a cold that was horrific....

What on Earth were they listening to?!

Joseph's gonna be ALL OVER that Brendan dude.

I've been all over him for like 3 years *.*

HomeTown's song Roses is a very special one to me and Brendan sings a large chunk of that song (most notably my favourite parts) so I've got a huge soft spot for him. His second song was SO much better and I think there's a lot of potential there with such a great voice, particularly with the mentoring process ahead to improve his song choices. It was an impossible task for him to get to know a song he wasn't familiar with in such a short space of time, under so much pressure, so I'm glad Simon believed in him. Chucking the lyric sheet away was amazing !!!
