I don't need any additional singles from this tbh, we didn't get them properly from ASIB and it didn't hurt anything one bit. Release a video for Sour Candy and that's it, there are the three singles we need.

Rain on Me will dominate months to come, just like Shallow.

This is probably the worst thing I've ever read on the internet.

911 and Alice are giving you a death stare atm. 😱

But what's the point of additional singles months after the album in streaming era? The songs will continue living their lives until forever. Like there hasn't been any from Post Malone's album since the release and it's still top ten on US album chart.

In Finland, digital sales were never a thing though so I might have a different perspective to the whole idea of singles.

The choice of not having singles with more Gaga promo and more Gaga videos vs. no more singles with no more Gaga promo and no more Gaga videos? I think I know which option I'd prefer... :lol:

Videos sure, but that doesn't make a single in a traditional sense. John Wayne had a video too, and Look What I Found.

I think the whole idea of singles is a bit blurry these days.

I mean I'd LOVE her to do promo and stuff, why not, but from commercial perspective, it's not really profitable to push singles months after the album and make expensive videos.

Instead, we might have a new track out later this year, a la The Cure.

She clearly planned a big era so why not live up to it?

Given a lot has been delayed and cancelled, once she's allowed to do physical promotion and performances, she's going to come with such a fire. 2 videos have apparently been shot and 1 is ready (apparently Free Woman). We waited four years for a solo album from Gaga, why not let it live for as long as possible?

She wanted 7/8 singles with BTW and was cut short at 5. It's not like it's out of her realm and with her shooting a film later the year/next year, releasing a few videos and promo here and there won't hurt.

I can see Free Woman, Sour Candy, 911, Babylon and Sine From Above all being singles and executed quite well if she and Bobby wanted to. No.1 hits like ROM? No. But they'd prolong the era, keep the album afloat and be enjoyable for fans who haven't had a long era in nearly a decade.

Gaga got f**ked over with the ARTPOP era, she was basically creating so many technological things outside of the actual music and I'm sure her vision v the management/label didn't match and we got a very different era.

I hope there's more to come, even if it's just more videos, visuals etc...I've missed that about Gaga.

I shared in the charts thread for this album, but for those that missed it, here's the context for just how well the album did yesterday:

To compare globally:

Joanne had 7m first day streams

Chromatica 50m first day streams

I am speechless <3

Wow, that's incredible! This is one hell of a return, pretty much unheard of in this day and age.

The thing about 'Chromatica' is that it has her hardcore fans divided. Some have adjusted very much to her 'Joanne' and 'A Star is Born' stripped back kind of sound and then she turns back time and dives into a dance-orientated album. It's funny how those who disliked 'Joanne'/called it her weakest album enjoy this and vice versa applies (I am a culprit of this as I found Joanne utterly boring to a certain degree as I've always been here for upbeat Gaga).

The album for me as whole is most definitely her strongest package. I couldn't say there are any weak links on it and every song doesn't deserve to be skipped. HOWEVER that being said I don't think the album tracks WOW me as much as some of the songs of her previous album have (those that have WOWed me are already released as singles). To mention some...

The Fame = Paper Gangsta

The Fame Monster = Monster, Dance In The Dark, So Happy I Could Die

Born This Way = Scheisse, Hair, Government Hooker

ARTPOP = Gypsy, Sexxx Dreams

Joanne = Dancin' In Circles

...all of which are 11/10 moments for me. Chromatica as of yet is yet to have that (even Sour Candy for me is 'just' a 10/10).

O/T but does anyone think they'll add any more of the UK exclusive green cassettes on the UK store? :unsure:
