Honestly, I am here for this album!

Gaga has always had VERY spotty albums for me but this is incredibly cohesive - I felt with her pretentiousness she made a whole load of very wtf choices and whilst I don't disagree with the critique that it could date quickly, I appreciate that this album has managed to demonstrate her ability to balance her artistry with consistency and create a really strong overall package. She hasn't done that massively for me in the past (the Fame-era aside) so it's good to see that back. It does miss edge, but it's very "polished" and "pop" which is what people seemed to want!

I wish it did have more of a Confessions-style feel though where the tracks were longer and were mixed. I understand why they aren't, but I feel that the album could've been 60-70 minutes really easily.

I’m gonna put all my thoughts down tomorrow cause the album is growing with each listen and some issues I had before after one listen are pretty much gone now

This wants to be her Confessions but production-wise doesn't feel expensive or timeless enough, which is disappointing.

On the plus side, its a solid album, a good return to form, & hopefully would get a remaster following the success. After her finances were leaked recently I wouldn't be surprised if the reason this sounds a little cut corners is literally because they did. Fyi if anyone missed those, Joane had a quarter of the budget of Artpop.

Album of the Week for Radio 2 from Monday meaning 2 tracks will be played each day Mon-Fri

However they’re so inconsistent with this that Stupid Love and Rain On Me will probably just dominate

BloodPop on why the Haus Labs version of Babylon isn't on the album. It's from a Twitch stream he did last night.

"They’re both good. They both have a special purpose. This one we knew we had to end the album with. The Haus Labs version, the aesthetic of it, it didn’t make sense as an ending."

Joanne and Born This Way remain my faves but this has some career highlights: 911, Rain On Me, Babylon, Alice.

911, Free Woman and Sine From Above all have to become singles at some point! Although take the messy dubstep outro out of SFA's final 30 seconds for the radio edit

I think one of the things I love the most about this album (aside from just being so brilliant musically and all), it really feels to me like she's being honest.

But not just honest, comfortable and self-assured. As if the creation of this album was a catharsis for her.

I love watching the picture disc spin while ‘Replay’ is playing

I don't need any additional singles from this tbh, we didn't get them properly from ASIB and it didn't hurt anything one bit. Release a video for Sour Candy and that's it, there are the three singles we need.

Rain on Me will dominate months to come, just like Shallow.

Well Tesco have the standard edition in stock but still not had my deluxe copy despatched from zoom. They sent an email saying it would be early next week. If Tesco can do it then why can’t amazon or other online companies? Pretty poor!

Huh?! Why wouldn't you want a longer era? We haven't had one since 2011 and the public are fully back on board with her so it'd be nice for her to stick around a bit longer this time.

There's also way too many songs on the album which deserve the single attention.
