There isn't much incentive to purchase them if you already own them but I think the point is more to keep them in stock and changing the vinyl colour and coinciding with the tour is just a way to do that.

 

I want to start a Madonna vinyl collection but I'd rather wait for a reissue with added extras given I already own her albums on CD. We'll see what materialises from this Like a Prayer re-issue.

I will definitely get a Like a Prayer reissue if it does materialise!

 

I have vinyl copies already but they don’t feel special. A deluxe with the extra tracks and mixes would be a must for me.

Wasn’t sure where to post this, but I bought a couple of Madonna albums on vinyl today in HMV! Prior to now I only owned The Immaculate Collection on vinyl. I got Confessions on a Dance Floor and Ray of Light. :wub:

Great purchases there! :wub: What colour are the vinyl? Don't know if I've just made this up, I think they could exist, but I imagine the Ray of Light vinyl in turquoise and Confessions in hot pink.

Confessions is indeed hot pink! :heart: Ray of Light is just black though! There are blue versions and clear versions of it that are available online, but I don't mind it in black tbh (cheaper than getting a colour version copy from eBay :heehee: ).

I did recall seeing a blue vinyl for Ray of Light but was most unsure about Confessions colour. Bet it looks glorious!

 

I was looking at the vinyl tracking lists and each side seems really considered, like the opening track for each side makes senses and the groups of tracks work really well together.

I’m not going to bother with these. Crystal clear vinyl just doesn’t feel right for them, I far prefer it when the colour is complementary to the artwork and theme for the era.

I’m breathless is being rereleased on yellow vinyl .

I'm not too sure about these clear versions either hmm. True Blue has to be blue! I wish I'd started looning before the Sainsbury's vinyl versions were released. :( True Blue is so expensive on eBay at the moment!

I wonder if they ever release a package/box with all albums on vinyl. Many artists have this kind collection (old and new, Rihanna for instance), it would be awesome to get one (they have released CD box, so why not vinyl). I know it would cost a fortune but I would really get one for sure

Did you get the clear versions that were released last year? I'm tempted to get the clear versions of them all bar True Blue, I'm holding out for another blue version!

 

 

edit - just noticed I said a similar thing higher up the page, well at least I'm consistent! :lol:

 

 

Also, referring to the I'm Breathless yellow vinyl - what a missed opportunity that was. The yellow is a watery transparent one when it needs to be the same colour as the logo!
