Posted June 13, 20187 yr -QPdRfqTnt4 “A beloved tale will take you to new heights.” One of Disney's darkest and most heart-breaking films getting a live action remake by Tim Burton. Featuring Michael Keaton as entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, Alan Arkin as Wall Street tycoon J. Griffin Remington, and Eva Green as aerial artist Colette Marchant. 💔
June 13, 20187 yr It looks beautiful!! I'm not usually here for Tim Burton movies (oops x) but I'm ready for this!
June 13, 20187 yr eee I don't know if my heart is ready for a live-action remake - especially considering it's Tim Burton created!
June 13, 20187 yr Dumbo is one of my favourite Disney films, though it was more for it's simplicity and rawness (the glorious madness of the pink elephants scene aside) which I can't imagine Tim Burton taking the same path so it looks like we're getting a drastically different film, but I'd be interested to see nonetheless. Just really hoping he does better than this than he did with Alice in Wonderland, which should've really played into his hand very well.
November 15, 20186 yr THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE This was said in another thread but 2019 is really turning into the year of Disney
November 25, 20186 yr This looks absolutely gorgeous. And if your heart didn't cry at his little yelp when his mum is getting taken away, you're dead inside.
February 17, 20196 yr I saw the trailer recently and Dumb looks so cute. I am definitely looking forward to this one. I loved Christopher Robin last year.
April 9, 20196 yr anyone been to see this?? My heart  It's definitely been beefed up as a story compared to the original but I think it's certainly earned it's title of a worthy-remake to appeal to today's audiences. It pulled at the heartstrings without trying too hard to do so. I enjoyed the nods to iconic scenes such as the stork delivery and the pink elephants and they were blended in well with the rest of the story. Also liked the fact it didn't feel overly 'Tim Burton' as I think that would've taken away from the story which is powerful enough without those influences.
April 9, 20196 yr I haven't seen it (and I'm not sure I want to in all honesty with these reviews but maybe) but eek at the critical and commercial reaction it's got, well below expectations. Could these Disney live action reboots be starting to tire on audiences? I can still see The Lion King doing well, but Aladdin's not got a great response already from what I've read.
April 10, 20196 yr Dumbo is the best remake they’ve done so far tbh, I loved Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast but this was leagues ahead still. The casting was 10/10 for all parts (especially adored Danny Devito who fit the role very very well) and Dumbo is legit the cutest thing I’ve ever seen  The scene where Dumbo & Colette are training and fall into the net, both sat upwards side by side is hands down the cutest movie scene I’ve ever witnessed tbh

I'm not too surprised. I wasn't a fan. I feel like for an hour long original movie, there wasn't enough content to fill up an entire 1 hour 40 minute feature. The finished product came off feeling dry and unexciting and wasn't as emotional as it should have been. Live action ranking: 101 Dalmatians The Jungle Book Cinderella Beauty and the Beast Dumbo Maleficent Alice in Wonderland

April 10, 20196 yr The Jungle Book 101 Dalmatians Dumbo Cinderella Beauty and the Beast Alice in Wonderland --- *NOT SEEN* Maleficent AIW is the only one I'm not too bothered about watching again. It's one of my fave animations and I can't believe the amount of wasted potential there was with this. </3 Mia Wasikowska was utterly the wrong choice :( --- In regards to Dumbo I found it very cute. I liked the little extra they added to the story to pad it out into a film tbh.
