I really don’t think the Sharon and Keanu affair is as ridiculous as it’s being made out, unless you view the world in a completely superficial way.

 

This is more than just a sexual affair, there has clearly been an emotional element to it otherwise they’d have just jumped into bed ages ago. They have clearly made a connection over the past few weeks. They’ve not decided to embark upon this purely because they’re physically attracted to one another, they’ve been confiding in each other for some time.

 

And I think it’s an absolute insult to Letitia Dean and older women in general to suggest that someone like Keanu would never go there. Experience is an attractive quality for some young men and Letitia looks pretty damn good for a woman of 50.

So would you be saying it's realistic if Ian Beale even got with Mel or got with Louise? Of course you wouldn't.

Louise is 16 so yes that would be unrealistic. And I always thought Mel and Ian was implausible because they are too different not because she's better looking.

Ian and Mel are roughly similar ages I assume, Ian maybe 5-10 years older but even 10 years older when you're on your 40s and 50s really isn't much. It would be weird because I agree they just are way too different but it wouldn't be gross and icky in the same way you are suggesting with a 16 year old.

 

You go on about sexism in the show with Max yet here you are slagging a woman off for her appearance anytime she appears on screen...

Keanu seems to have a thing for older women given his escorting dalliance, and Sharon gets nothing from Phil and she's gonna get bored and risk a bit of fun. A lot of the time they just chuck together random characters who don't fit because there's nothing else for them and it's tedious but this just works so well for various reasons.

Yes, it's also unrealistic that Max Branning gets woman after woman whilst looking like an escaped baked bean that grew arms and legs after being left under the fridge for too long.

 

Sharon is literally OLDER THAN HIS MUM. The only interactions they had before this atrocious storyline was her shouting at him in her weird campy overdramatic way. He hated being an escort and DIDN'T feel attracted to older women. This was a huge part of the storyline! Also Sharon is his boss' wife. That boss is also a gangster. It just beggars belief. That's before even taking into account anything else.
