I feel very sorry for the average 50 year old woman if you think Sharon looks atrocious. She looks great regardless of her age and to be honest I’m not sure what it is about her that has you coming out with words like atrocious. Letitia Dean has struggled with her looks for most of her adult life due to people like you constantly commenting on them like this. She’s in a place where she’s finally comfortable in her own skin but you’re relentless as ever.

 

As for other matches you’ve mentioned, obviously Louise is too young but I wouldn’t believe Mel with Ian because of their history. They’ve been there, Mel was never interested and it was a horrific lie that got them married. Why would she go back after that?

 

Again, for someone who claims to be the feminist leader of the site, you’re being awfully shallow and superficial over this storyline. We are yet to see any on screen evidence that Keanu is as shallow as you clearly are. We have, however, seen that he and Sharon have chemistry. You’ve also completely ignored the emotional affair component. They haven’t done anything physical yet but they are already having an affair. Relationships are based on more than just sex. This is something EE are actually getting right for a change.

Ok, so it’s about equality. You just treat all these people you don’t know with complete contempt based on their looks, hey, as long as it’s equal discrimination, who cares?

As for wanting realism, the whole point of soaps is that they’re realistic but with some escapism. Hasn’t EE been trying realism the last few years? Wasn’t that the excuse for the bins, Denise’s pasta/GCSE, samosas and Bernadette learning chess? That was hardly riveting viewing.

 

Sharon and Keanu is classic soap and Letitia Dean excels at this kind of thing. If you’re not a fan, fine, but please refrain from being personal about the actors.

The episode ending with Sharon pondering over a text message two nights in a row :lol: Not that I’m complaining, loving this storyline. Patrick telling Bernie to F off as well *.*

Jean is so f***ing amazing. I can’t believe we almost went 5 years without her as a regular. If they continue to utilise her properly, Gillian Wright may never leave again.

Think we saw a bit of Julia's theme for the first time in classic EE with the osmans and the dead of baby hassan.

It's surely inevitable Billy and Honey get back together soon, getting bad vibes from Adam.

My goodness, I didn’t even mind the Carters/Stuart tonight.

 

This week has been pretty good fair play.

Watching classic EE, Ethel is such an irreplaceable character.

Ethel is probably my fave EastEnders character ever.

The tension actually built really well in that episode, a job well done on that part, but EVERYTHING about Stuart cringes me out. Awful character played by an awful actor. Really hoping this is the end of him.
