It looks like Kylie is of the same thoughts as many of her fans and dismisses the Tears on My Pillow.

That said, without it, Kylie would not have her accolade of being one of the few artists to have number 1 singles over 3 decades.

TOMP is probably my least listened to Kylie track - not that I hate it or anything just that it dosent feature strongly in her back catalogue or ever seem to appear on streaming compilations etc., definitely not one of her finest moments but I love it for what it is (And the fact it reached #1).

I would easily swap out Tears on My Pillow for other songs on the album.

It would have been wonderful if Enjoy Yourself (the song) had the accolade of delivering Kylie's only number 1 in the 90's.

Those 2 tracks widely seem to be hugely popular.

I believe Im Over Dreaming Over You is probably regarded higher in general by her fans than Enjoy Yourself.

Like the Kylie album, Enjoy Yourself had so many great songs to choose as singles.

My favourite has to be 'Never Too Late'. It's quite possibly my favourite Kylie single from the 80s. I love how the song is classic SAW joy yet has something quite melancholy about it too. The lyrical sentiment is quite mature too and that's highlighted by the Abbey Road version, which then reflects back on the original.

The title track is great but if any song on the album deserved to be a single it is definitely 'I'm Over Dreaming (Over You)'.

Somebody must have found a box of Enjoy Yourself cassettes in a warehouse somewhere as I’ve just bought an original sealed copy with the poster and meet Kylie competition inside for £9.99 on eBay - they had loads available so definitely think they were discovered untouched in the back of an old record store or something  Great to score a sealed copy so long after it’s release though :cheer:

Good find, after so long.

If they have loads available, it must be like you said, found in a warehouse somewhere.

How much did it cost you?

  • Author

That is expensive in some ways but wonderful to get too.

I wonder how many is left in circulation.
