June 21, 20187 yr Author The usual Maltese national final is no more! Their own version of The X Factor is launching for the first time from October, with the winner going on to represent them at Eurovision next year. Well after two non-qualifications, and then Ira Losco representing them before that with a song that didn't even win the selection, it's probably a good thing to try and change things up.
June 21, 20187 yr No doubt the usual suspects that turn up in their NF every year will all just enter X Factor this year instead then
January 8, 20196 yr They're into the live shows now and the current favourite for the crown is Michela Pace who delivered this performance of LP's Lost On You kP5CDYRMzfE
January 26, 20196 yr Michela Pace wins the first season of X Factor Malta and will represent the country in Tel Aviv.
January 28, 20196 yr Seen bits of her performances on Twitter, she has a great voice. It's got a unique edge but power as well, but she can be a bit strained at times I noticed. Hopefully she gets a song that really fits her and does it justice. I'm still mad Christabelle was robbed of the final tbh
March 8, 20196 yr Tick tock Malta! Although there is a rumour that the song they've picked is the one that Poli Genova and another vocalist nearly represented Bulgaria with last year and ~ a select few ~ fans got the demo of but we'll see if it comes to that.
March 10, 20196 yr THAT DROP Omgggg this is a SERVE *.* This might challenge for my fave with more listens, bloody hell I did not expect that.
March 10, 20196 yr I'm actually so shook because of all countries you just don't expect Malta to come up and potentially snatch a fave
March 10, 20196 yr Well slap me across the face and call me Derek! Malta take all my points! Move along Tamta, mooovvvve along.
March 10, 20196 yr This blows the Cypriot entry way out of the water. This is as good as any X-Factor winner’s first big release. I’d love to see this win and if Cyprus can come 2nd then Malta can return to such heights themselves.
March 10, 20196 yr I could easily see this being the Fuego of the year, it's a bloody magnificent pop song that's very current but it has a bit of a quirk to it with the drop. As long as she's good live (which from what I've seen is no issue, ofc an uptempo song with a bigger performance is more pressure) and has good staging this is surely going to do very well??
