September 23, 20186 yr The finale was pure tension, and I knew Nadya had a part in it, it just had to be once you watch the first episode again, there is a clue in there
September 23, 20186 yr Very tense finale! I was content with the solution except Nadia being some sort of mastermind behind it all. There's too many plotholes, imo. But it was a nice added twist to see she was putting on an act the whole time. It's been such an incredible series. The ending definitely leaves it open for a Series 2 and with Bodyguard being the biggest show of the year, I imagine the BBC will be rushing through the commissioning of Series 2!
September 23, 20186 yr So the mysterious boyfriend was a complete red herring  It was good to see pretty much everything tied up but, at the same time, leaving the possibility of another series. There are rumours (which I hope are not true) that Netflix are interested.

There are rumours (which I hope are not true) that Netflix are interested. It will be the BBC again - but Netflix have the licensing rights to the first series in the rest of the world, so that's where the rumours come from. Anyway excellent series. Started really well, I thought it dropped for a bit in episodes 4-5 at times, but a great finale. Only one gripe I have is that despite Nadia being the great mastermind she couldn't detonate the bomb herself. Found that to be slightly off tbh.
September 24, 20186 yr Fantastic finale and so so tense I'm just after watching it now. So glad I invested time in this as it was so worth watching.
September 25, 20186 yr Finished this last night - most engaged I've been in a BBC series in a long, long time. So excellently tense and building and confounding expectations to the very end, brilliant. I did think that a second series wouldn't really work as the story came full circle in a sense, but when I think about it, there was a lot of questions, main thing I'm wondering is who that girl in the window was when Budd had cornered Juliet's killer and his boss.
