I hope we get to find out how many of Drake's album tracks would've made the official top 40 without the artist cap just for the lolz. Imagine having half the top 40 being Drake songs. *_*

Given the biggest and most extreme Spotify promo I’ve ever seen I did expect over 1 million streams for the top couple of tracks, I must say!

Impressive either way though, and it’ll take a while to shake him off.

The thing is, there are 25 songs on the album, so people are less likely to replay individual tracks at this stage as they make their way through the whole album. If there were only 12 songs then the top song would likely have over a million.

If you add up the streams of all the tracks it comes to 12,402,199 which is insane.

I have to say, "Don’t Matter To Me" being a big long running number 1 would be deserved... just hope it’s the one that ends up taking off long term over the rest...

I think it will, it being as high as #3 when it's very low down on the album is impressive, though it of course has the promo of being #1 on Hot Hits UK and New Music Friday. The top 2 are the first 2 tracks on the album which makes sense, I imagine 'Survival' as an intro track will fall very quickly though and probably won't end up being in his chart eligible top 3.
Imagine Michael Jackson belatedly getting another #1 single this way. :o

I believe it’s a sample of one of his demo tracks - I think it has been used excellently and tastefully. Works so well and doesnt tarnish his classic sound.

Emotionless Spotify Chart today. <_<
Annoying that the B side is doing so much worse - do people just listen to an album in order and get bored half way through cause tracks lower down on albums never do as well

Well the first few times yes but I don't think it's always boredom I think it's a case of getting busy/side tracked then maybe listening again from start next time favourite track tend to jump out later (or pushed tracks)

Front page of Australia Spotify :kink: I imagine it's similar elsewhere but I just noticed this which is quite funny

I just noticed this myself. He's even on the 'Best of British' playlist. Shameful promotion to almost ridiculous levels, I'm hesitant to use 'desperate' as it's clearly working but it's just unnecessary. Plenty of playlists with his image but with none of his songs, that will be clicked on by those who don't like Drake at all.

I mean, I have to credit him for his mastery of subliminal advertising, but man, there goes music capitalism.

in the US he has the top 23 plus 26 & 27

so I guess thats enough for him to have 25 tracks in the hot 100 next week, thank god the uk has acr ;)

Correction: 3 tracks per artist rule playing through.

Not getting the fuss with 'Don't Matter Now'. Sounds pretty bland and hollow to me.

Nice For What is still the only thing I've been into by Drake since his Take Care era.

I miss when Drake made good music :( 'Hold On, We're Going Home', 'Take Care', 'Find Your Love', 'Crew Love', 'Make Me Proud' were all such good songs.

'One Dance' and 'Nice For What' are the only ones I've sort of been into, everything else has sounded so hollow and bland, I don't get it.

Whoa those numbers are not great considering his songs are on all playlists people can imagine

What was Divide's first week in streaming, how many sales units?

Drake x MJ #1

Other drake tracks falling fast

Even the Drake/ MJ track has dropped in terms of streams, it just hasn't dropped as much as the rest.
