Posted July 1, 20187 yr No change at the top as Half Love takes a second week into what's looking like it might be a long run. Sangria Wine rebounds to #2 while Intentions rises again to #3, at one point this had been looking like a shoe-in for the top spot. Prides gain surprisingly their highest charter thus far this week too as On Our Own rises to #5, while JLo returns to the top ten for the first time since, embarrassingly enough, I Luh Ya Papi. Within the top 10, Brooke gets her first of the year with the riot grrl esque War, while Friendly Fires and Sia also score their firsts for a while, and Hayley and Kehlani reach a new peak on their second run at the chart. Lesbian Jesus going for gold. New entries this week come mainly in at the lower end, with this week's highest going to Years & Years at #22 with a far superior remix of their current single. Other debuts this week come from Gorillaz, Sabrina Carpenter, Tove Lo and the girl squad, Alt-J, OneRepublic, Jake Shears, this year's World Cup song, Run the Jewels and Rudimental. This likely won't go any higher but is a nice re-intro to them and one I like more than their Jess Glynne/Macklemore collab that the rest of the country seemed to lap up. That was okay I guess but not really what I go to any of the artists involved for. The features on this one are all new to me. Years & Years also chart another from the upcoming album #2, the NOTD remix to me being far superior to the somewhat childish theme tune-esque original.
