I was surprised by the sales for the week just gone as they are higher than i expected for the position.

That said, it is worrying how such a small sales gap can impact a chart position and its like that throughout the whole chart most weeks with the exception of the Top 5.

300 more sales last week would have had Golden clearly in the Top 100.

#131 this week! 890 sales, 106,698 total.

Great increase :cheer: (Although sales seem high for #131). Here’s to a surge up the charts next week

Up to 28 on UK iTunes before promo. I am guessing a few spectators tomorrow buying to make sure they know the songs for tomorrow . Lol

Showing as ‘Available in 5-7 days’ on Amazon for the standard version which is currently £6 on there so there has definitely been an increase in sales :cheer:

I would be hoping she can increase her sales by at least 1000 this week which would see her comfortably back in the top 75.

I'm feeling confident it can. The Hyde Park thing seems to be generating a fair amount of publicity and a lot of my friends are talking about it.

(Mind you they're pretty much fans anyway, even if casually)

Hopefully alot of the people there are not the ones who have already bought the album. Her iTunes position will probably improve greatly and hopefully physical sales will climb which will most likely happen on Mon and TUes.

I’ve seen several TV ads for it today all mentioning that Kylie is the headline act so I think it will generate some interest out of the Kylie fan base :cheer:

Up to 24th on iTunes and 40 on Amazon.

Better than last few weeks.

Promo coming right up

Really expecting ‘Golden’ to be challenging for a Top 40 place on Friday - seems to be lots of love for the fact Jason appeared also it’s already #16 on iTunes so could easily climb into the Top 10 tomorrow.
Ya me too but I'm slightly worried the lack of songs performed from golden might result in more people buying the best of as the set list was heavier on her older material.

All the other acts (Boyzone, All Saints, Lenny etc.,) we’re plugging their new singles and albums and Kylie just about mentioned Golden was out  Bizzare she never pushes her releases and that’s twice now she’s not mentioned or sung current singles at promo opportunities - it feels as though she knows their not going to be hits so kind of releases them because she has to and doesn’t feel the need to promote them all the time?

As I said in another thread she seemed unsure of the crowd last night and seemed to want to play it safe with the hits that people would know.

I look forward to the possibility the album will receive a great climb this week.
Taking out compilations ‘Golden’ is currently the #6 artist album on iTunes :cheer: Great result considering it wasn’t a performance to support the new album as such.
