VAR certainly played a part in both matches tonight. Good win for Atletico over Juventus.

They had one job and they knew they had f***ed up at the end of the match, losing 3-2 to a 10-man Man City.
Sergio Ramos has been given a two-game ban by Uefa "for clearly receiving a yellow card on purpose" during Real Madrid's Champions League tie at Ajax.

Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham Hotspur need help from English football bosses after his side were given one day fewer to prepare for their Champions League last-16 second-leg tie than hosts Borussia Dortmund, well good luck with that Pochettino because it wouldn't happen.

Incredible result for Ajax, blowing the competition wide open now! At last we'll have a different winner this year. Ramos will now be missing the first game next season

Real Madrid were never going to win this year, but absolutely incredible from Ajax they were fantastic. To score 4 goals at the Bernabau is something else. Personally I would have loved to have been the ones to knock the smug bast*rds out, but happy it's happened anyway!

Yeh good to see the Royal Madrid leaving at the hands of a Dutch club - best result for them since the mid 90s. They have some excellent players too tbf!
It is the first time Ajax have progressed through a Champions League knockout stage tie since the 1996-97 campaign. Good on Ajax.

It would take something special albeit quite unlikely that Man United will come back and beat PSG in their match.

End of an era for Real Madrid following their Champions League exit? That's what the media are saying.

Think that's too dramatic a statement. When Bayern crushed Barca in 2013 everyone said it was the end of Barca but quite clearly it wasn't/hasnt been.

Looking at the team they have put out tonight, I would rate their chances as zero... but stranger things have happened.

It's certainly the end of their dominance. It wasn't the end of Barca then but they haven't been to the final for a good few years now and Real Madrid will likely be similar. They got huge amounts of luck last season. They just haven't replaced Ronaldo (which is an impossible task).
