Utd needed to score tonight, Barcelona are a different beast at the Nou Camp. I thought Barcelona were pretty poor and made so many little mistakes all over the pitch. Their saving Grace is always the fact that Messi can do something out of nothing. 0 shots on target at home is pityful mind.

It's twice as good as the result at home to PSG & we got through that against all odds so... we shall see.

Despite the 0 shots on target we definitely looked more threatening than we did against PSG so reasons to be optimistic. Barca looked pretty ordinary just not as ordinary as us. Rashford, Fred & Young all had shockers but McTominay looked impressive and probably should have won a penalty (yes he threw himself to the ground but contact had already been made and as the pundits always say "he had a right to go down")

If we were more productive and clinical then we would have beaten Barcelona as they didn't play well at all and Messi in particular didn't do much expect get hit in the face by Chris Smalling. A 1-0 first leg defeat is not terminal but it looks like we'll definitely have to score at least 2 goals at Nou Camp whilst keeping a clean sheet on a much wider and longer pitch. Based on last night's match Barcelona don't look like a team that will win the Champions League this season but there is no stand out team at the moment so it's hard to predict a winner at this stage.

You can go through as 1-2 winners as you'll have two away goals?!

Now when was the last time united won 2-1 in the Nou Camp....??

What did the officials mess up? Didn't see that games!!

There was barely a correct decision all evening. Barca got away with murder. One tried to have Young sent off by throwing himself to the ground in a blatant dive that was so obvious even telenovelas were cringing at the bad acting and the ref didn't card him even though he knew it was a very very fake dive.

Then there was the clear and obvious deliberate handball that went unpunished and yet Shaw got a yellow, missing the second leg, for a handball that was very much on the accidental end of the scale.

There was only one good Barcelona player on the pitch on Wednesday and it was the ref.

I'll need a second opinion Silias, it's not that I think your biased!!

I saw the first incident in real time and it just looks accidental to me - the handball with Busquets, yes there is a point there wholly agree with that. But then you also got lucky against PSG! So as they say luck can even itself out.

The Spanish clubs have always been like that, it's why I'm so glad Real Madrid are out.

Yeah we got lucky against PSG but Kimpembe who gave away the penalty in the 2nd leg should have been sent off in the 1st leg before he even had the chance to score in that same match which is something that everyone conveniently chooses to forget about.

Yeah I was there and had a fantastic view of it. There was nothing accidental about that.

The way this is going looks like another 4-0 loss to us, a la 25 years on to Barcelona.

Well it wasn't.

Ajax have knocked out Juventus and go through to the semi-final, first time since 1996.

City fans are probably thinking they have a final in the bag but they’ll struggle a lot against Ajax considering how attacking Ajax are!

All of the teams left would struggle against Ajax as they take massive risks. Fantastic result, obviously if Liverpool don't make it to the final I will certainly be cheering them on before the team gets decimated over the next 2 seasons by the big clubs!

Utd need to get a controller in the midfield, I think until they learn to manage the space in games like this (as Van Gaal was doing) they will struggle to control games. Barcelona were gifted the goals to be honest and the whole team just had that beaten look on their faces. I still say give it a few months and there will be the famous 'I have no idea what I am doing' memes with Ole's face on there. I mean if you play Phil Jones at full-back against Messi then I'm genuinely not quote sure what you're trying to achieve.

Hopefully Ajax will go on to win the competition now but as long as no English team wins it I'll be content.

Well, we literally had to take that ONE chance by Rashford in the first minute. That's the only reason we won the PSG game by scoring early - I knew as soon as we didn't take the early initiative it was game over, the whole team gave that impression, no way is Dave making that mistake at still 0-0 or 1-0 up.

Wouldn't even call it a reality check, it's blindingly obvious we're miles off the likes of Barca. Eh it's been a fun ride.

Seriously didn't call Ajax pulling off another big upset (if we can still call them upsets now?!) they really are this season's Monaco 2016-17.
