Don't know but I vaguely remember on a night like this been a good bit behind at number 2.

I was surprised Last One Standing didn't at the least enter the Top 5.

Does anyone know the opening sales for Spinning Around when it entered at number 1?

Also did On A Night Like This and Kids miss out on number 1 by much?

 

In danger of disappearing down a Girl Thing rabbit hole, but...

 

I remember seeing the band doing TV promo. I really wanted to like them, in the absence of my beloved Spice Girls. But they actively denounced their predecessors, alienating their entire potential fan base.

 

They didn't come across as nice girls, imo. Which was a shame because the second single was great!

What a bad move denouncing their predecessors, sure way to alienate your core audience and that they did to perfection.

I was OBSESSED with Girl Thing - glad we finally got their album released years later after they appeared on the Big Reunion.

Surprised the album got released so many years later.

That does not happen too often.

 

 

I kind of knew at the time Girl Thing wouldn't last a year. It felt like they were really being forced into the public consciousness, there wasn't really a lot to them. It was like whoever put them together had just picked 5 random girls while they were out shopping.

The girls appear in large to not be in touch with each other since the split.

 

Please Stay has finally picked up a vote, it is nice to see that no song has been left without votes.

Ya all the songs here deserve at least a vote.

The songs here are all good and i can only agree it is welcoming to see that they have all received votes.

In some of the other polls songs have ended up with no votes.

 

On a night like this was always going to be a runaway winner here just like confide in me in the km94 poll.
