Favourite b-side from the PWL years? (I’ve missed off the various instrumental and backing track versions of album tracks they used to fill up the formats with plus the 2 b-sides to the Locomotion Australian release as she was not with PWL then, but they are on streaming if you’ve never heard them  )

Mine has to be ‘Say The Word - I’ll Be There’ from Shocked, also have a soft spot for ‘All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine’ with Jason Donovan.

The choices you selected are 2 i also enjoy, but Made In Heaven is a nice slice of pop cheese at its best.

Outside of instrumentals, i would know of the following but there could be more if _A_ decides on you adding a poll to the post.

Made in Heaven

All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine

Getting Closer

We Know The Meaning Of Love

Say the Word - I'll Be There

Glad To Be Alive

Just Wanna Love You

I Am The One For You

Closer

Do You Dare?

I also remember Kylie's Smiley Mix as Never Too Late's B-Side.

My favorite is We Know The Meaning Of Love.

Her releases from 2000 onwards had some wonderful b sides.

PWL were in large much weaker with b sides although we still got some great tracks.

Parlphone for the first 10 years handled the singles brilliantly we really were treated to getting great singles with b sides, remixes etc.

Parlophone to their credit did this in style especially through the Light Years- Body Language eras.

They did miss a trick by not releasing a b sides album as a few years back it would have easily sold enough to reach Gold status at a minimum.

I love the PWL b sides more than any of the b sides that came later. I wish there were a million more PWL b sides.

I vote for Made In Heaven.

They're all so good. I've never thought Jason Donovan had much of a voice. All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine is such a fun duet, and he just about gets away with it, but I'd have liked someone else from the Hit Factory.....maybe Rick Astley ? Then, it woulda been single worthy.

Would you like to have seen any of these tracks on the albums originally ? At the expense of which tracks ?

The Rhythm of Love album - as much as I adore every track , I'd have included I Am The One For You, and demoted Secrets to b side status.

I always loved all I wanna do but I was also a big Jason Donovan fan back in the day and I loved a lot of his singles and still do but vocally Kylie completely over shadowed him on all I wanna do more so than especially for you.

I am the one for you should have made the album as there was def room for another track or two on the album. Kylie has some great b sides overall from the early days to now.

Jason's voice sounds extremely weak on All I Wanna Do.

Had Kylie and Jason done a duets album at that time, i think it would have sold in large numbers.

Both were extremely popular at that time.

A duets album would have been huge although they were both at the peak of their PWL success at the time so probably couldn’t commit to an album (Not that that’s a bad thing but I’m sure it would have been a massive seller).

It would have been huge and im surprised pwl didnt go with that. Those days were Kylie and Jason mania, they were on the front of so many magazines, on tv, everything and everything they put their hand to sold well. I was a big Jason fan too back in the day and i still listen to his greatest hits, any of his albums in the last few years havnt been great but i loed his second album between the lines.

^^ I liked Jason back in the day and was totally caught up in the whole Kylie/Jason mania but as you said his recent albums have been absolutely dire - I don’t think I’ve actually managed to listen to them any all the way through!.

I always feel kind of bad for Jason in a way - Kylie is still getting #1’s and selling out at the 02 whilst he’s playing in 300 capacity theatres in Scunthorpe and Basildon :kink:

His career faded quickly in some ways, between the lines sold way way less than 10 good reasons even though it was a great follow up.There is no doubt his drug addiction played a big part of his carer dwindling, he is still ok for himself overall though.

Too many great songs on zero votes !

What about ranking them ?

I'd go....

1st - Made In Heaven

2nd - Getting Closer

3rd - I Am The One For You

4th - All I Wanna Do Is Make You Mine

5th - We Know The Meaning of Love

6th - I Just Wanna Love You

7th - Do You Dare

8th - Glad to Be Alive

9th - Closer

10th - Say The Word I'll Be There
