Are there any TV shows that you would like to see come back to our screens and why?

Atlantis! It was a great replacement for Merlin, thought it did take me a few episodes to love it.

It's a shame as outside of Doctor Who, there aren't really any family fantasty/sci-fi dramas made in the UK, though ITV has Alex Rider soon which I'm really looking forward to.

Bit of a random one this (and one that shows my age), but hear me out: I'd love to see 'Challenge Anneka' make a comeback. I absolutely loved it growing up - my mum even bought me the cassette of famous people of the time doing nursery rhymes and songs they made for Tommy's Campaign in one episode. I know Anneka did the two specials in 2006/7 for ITV (she also has a brilliant show on Friday evenings on Radio 2 called 'The Happening' which I'd highly recommend) but I really feel like there's a place for the show to return. It had so much heart and good feeling behind it. If the rumours of her doing Strictly are true, that'd be the perfect springboard for it.

I very much doubt this would come back because of whom presented it.

Atlantis was great! For me, it didn't have the same likability as Merlin had (in terms of both tone and characters), however it made for the same light-hearted Saturday entertainment. Would have liked to see what direction it went in beyond a second series!

Happy Endings

One of the funniest sitcoms ever. The jokes were often super sneaky but so hilarious and all the characters were so funny (i.e. there was no Ross in the group) and the show even joked about the likeness to Friends too which was funny.

Cold Case

Best crime drama out there because the flashbacks were so interesting to see. Would love to see a revamp of this where they flashback to the early 10s, noughties, etc with all the songs we know. Best crime-of-the-week show ever.

Pushing Daisies

Quirky and smart. Cancelled way too early only thanks to the 2008 writers strike ugh.

The Returned

This was very interesting. Was hoping Netflix would make more seasons of this as the first season ends on a huge cliffhanger.

FlashForward despite its flaws needs to come back, the cliffhanger was too much. That and the ill-fated Revolution had so much more to give.

It'd be nice to get a Desperate Housewives special at some point.

100% Desperate Housewives, even just a spin-off where it's like Julie etc. grown up and have the mothers pop in as well. American suburbia is just such a perfect setting for a show like that!

Or a Devious Maids resurrection :kink:

As much as I love Desperate Housewives, it did have the most perfect ending and I feel like any attempt at a further spin-off or a reunion probably wouldn't be able to recreate the magic.

The recent random memeing of Jo Frost has reminded me Supernanny *.* Actually How Clean Is Your House and Wife Swap as far as iconic Channel 4 easy watches go.

Saw a couple of old episodes of This Is Your Life recently on YouTube - that would be nice to see.

And was really annoyed that they didn't bring back Goodnight Sweetheart for a new series after the one-off a couple of years ago. I also enjoyed the new version of Porridge but that only lasted one series.

There is an old forgotten show that nobody seems to remember called 'Eerie Indiana'. The lead male actor was in 'Hocus Pocus'. I loved this when I was younger, it was first shown on Channel 4 in 1993 on a Tuesday ( I think?).

It was repeated ENDLESSLY throughout the 90s mostly popping up in the school holidays/Easter/Summer/Xmas. I think it was last shown around 99/2000. It could easily be updated now.
