I was sure the duet with James would have easily made the top 75 on just names alone.

Yep I think they could have easily got a few chart entries out of Christmas - as you say ‘Only You’ on name and ‘Every Days Like Christmas’ due to it being a PWL throwback but they didn’t even try with any of them tbh.

With our belief a new Greatest Hits is coming, do you think a single released to sell the album could help Kylie achieve her 52nd Top 40 hit.

Additionally, how many more Top 40 hits do you think Kylie could achieve.

Realistically i cant see her achieving more than a total of 55 Top 40 hits by the time she hangs up her musical boots.

I'd be genuinely amazed if she gets another one unless...

A) She features on a single by a popular artist

B) One of the Christmas songs suddenly blows up one year

Why on earth would they do another greatest hits at this point?

Why wouldn’t they ?

She doesn’t have one out that casual buyers can purchase, we’ve not had a full comprehensive one since ultimate Kylie, it’s not like ABBA Gold where it’s is a consistent seller so one wouldn’t be needed.

And Spotify is irrelevant, Kylie is a physicals artist and the majority of Kylie fans would prefer a full physical version

I am in full agreeence with all of this.

The last Best Of was a disaster of a release as the track listing was badly selected and it felt a pointless release that Kylie herself was not behind.

But many gems never got their chance to have their moment of Top 40 glory - if you could chose one to have made the Top 40 which would you go with?

Keep On Pumpin’ It Up (#49)

Put Your Hands Up (#93)

Flower (#96)

I Was Gonna Cancel (#59)

Beautiful (With Enrique - DNC)

Crystallize (#60)

Only You (With James Corden - #155)

100 Degrees (With Dannii - DNC)

Every Days Like Christmas (DNC)

Golden (DNC)

So many missed opportunities on that list - and some I can’t believe didn’t trouble the Top 100 (Right Here, Right Now, The Other Boys, 100 Degrees etc.,) :nocheer:

Musics Too Sad Without You is now another one that unfortunately can be added to this list.

Flower and this would be the 2 i would easily swap.

It's been rumoured to coincide with the summer shows. BMG will want to capitalise on that, plus all the reasons Danny gave too. There's no readily available greatest hits physically or on Spotify (aside her 1992 one) either which is quite shocking for an artist as big as Kylie. Definitely due to have a comprehensive compilation album, preferably with 1, 2 and 3 disc versions.

This. And ideally the different versions will have different artwork too and available on all formats!

I think that could potentially be a great sales and marketing tool that would help the album back up by cassette and vinyl releases with a working name of 30 years of Hits and counting.

They have huge potential to offer fans some great packages if Kylie no has the rights to all her singles.

The 3rd disc would have to focus on b sides or rarities as that is something her hardcore fans would thoroughly enjoy.
