He said that he would negotiate a new deal which wouldn't throw workers rights down the drain and then let people decide if they want that or to remain in a referendum. During that campaign he would remain as a neutral PM. Simple!

Oh my god at how thick and brainwashed Common Sense and those four dunces are!! He has nothing to do with the IRA. The end x You've been brainwashed by the media and now support that bloated buffoon and shower of shit government over a fantastic individual who has been on the right side of history throughout his life with the best manifesti we have ever EEEEVER had EVER.

So the important thing with these polls is to not get despondent. Whether they are tools to inform public opinion or not is neither here nor there. The impetus must be to prove them wrong.

5 years of the best manifesto for everyone versus the Tories destroying the country for generations. And whatever you think of Corbyn, it’s only 5 years and the country will still be together at the end. Johnson’s deal will mean the end of the United Kingdom.

No, as they have not. They have guaranteed services, to spend rather than to cut and put the money into the pockets of the rich, and a modern economy.

Then instead of complaining, why not work hard & become rich yourself? <_<

Hendon, constituency voting intention:

CON: 51% (+3)

LAB: 33% (-13)

LDEM: 12% (+8)

GRN: 1% (-)

Chgs. w/ GE2017

As a user on Twitter points out, no party has ever won without Hendon in 45 years and it will indeed be interesting to see if the Tories can hold on to it.

It would seem as if the LD's are hardly doing Lab a favour here.

Only the plans he wants people to know about. How many of the things he promised in the referendum are contained in his withdrawal deal?

The same could be asked of Labour.

Okay well we'll see in the early hours of 13th December. Friday 13th, unlucky for some. Hopefully Corbyn.

Possibly as early as 10pm with the exit poll.

So please tell me then, is Corbyn for or against Brexit? Is he leave or remain? HE WON'T TELL US. Just says to let the people decide. We want to know where he stands!

IMO his fence-sitting is costing him votes - and people don't like potential PM's who can't make decisions...

Unless they vote for Corbyn, yet *still* go for Brexit too...

I have fewer concerns with a Labour Brexit deal. No form of Brexit is good for the country but it’s expected the one negotiated by Labour will do more work to protect worker’s rights.

Also, it’s really not easy to become rich, particularly in a Tory-run country that limits social mobility. Most people never get that opportunity, and even if we did, there will always be poor people left behind. What that comment shows you do not understand about the left is that we consider anyone left in poverty to be unacceptable, bit of ‘there but for the grace of God’, bit of basic f***ing morality.

I guess we'll have to wait & see what sort of deal Labour can negotiate - if they ever get the chance...

How much social mobility is there under socialist gov'ts? They depend on the poor for support, so they have no incentive for people to get richer and risk becoming more conservative...

Social democratic countries, Labour’s spending plans are below the likes of Sweden and France, with low income inequality have high levels of social mobility. Reverse for countries like the USA.

Besides the characterisation of a socialist government that keeps everyone poor is not what socialism proponents are advocating, we left that behind.

The same could be asked of Labour.

Why would I ask Labour how much of what Johnson promised in the referendum is in Johnson’s withdrawal deal?

Michael Gove has just said on Marr that " voters need to know that the economy will be in a much stronger position once we've got Brexit done than if we delay any further"

Any comments on that then?

At very least we should be able to get back to normal politics! :cheer:

Well yes that's a good point.

The normal politics of working out trade deals in unfavourable positions for the next seven years. Get Brexit Done is such a dangerously misleading slogan.

Gove is and always has been completely economically illiterate. Man literally knows nothing about economics if he thinks that Brexit in *any* form will make our economy stronger than it is now. That’s factually false.

The economy will take 50 years to recover with a Tory brexshit by the tories' own estimates!!

Your flippantncomment about becomong rich is woeful and ahows your vile philosophy. Not only is there no social mobility in a country where it's about family connections with the landed gèntry, but to think that if others befome rich they become I'm alright, Jacks like you, is laughable. Not everyone is selfish.

you're treating all Tories comments as fact despite them lying to our actual Queen...

Who cares about the Queen her family lie flat out too. England should be a republic!

Was he asked why he was contradicting the government’s own forecasts!

I agree that we should be a republic. However, for the time being, we are not. The fact that the PM is prepared to tell blatant lies to the head of state is a disgrace, regardless of who that is. Somehow, Tories - almost all of whom are firm monarchists - seem to be perspired to overlook that. OTOH, if a Labour PM inadvertently gave a slightly inaccurate figure to the monarch, the press would be calling for treason charges to be brought immediately.
