September 14, 20187 yr This week's top ten is the worst I've ever heard. Full of terrible mindless urban rap music. The Eminem tracks are crap. Tyga - Taste is tuneless rubbish. It's like a 13 year old reciting 'street' poetry over a backing beat. It's open to debate it even qualifies as a 'song'. Streaming has destroyed the quality of songs making it into the chart. Streaming generation stream awful songs.  RIP chart music. :( Agreed. The only UK Top 10 tracks that stand out to me are 'Girls Like You', 'Eastside' and 'No Promises'. Other tracks within the top 10 are just boring and not my interest.  Songs that are supposed to become hits (especially big pop songs) are missing their spots in the UK Top 40. I think there has to some 'silent' hype for the big new hip-hop/rap songs that are hitting the mainstream right now. The huge 'silent' hype for hip-hop/rap has resulted in less pop, dance, indie and rock songs hitting the mainstream. Indeed the big name pop artists (even Ariana Grade) didn't have huge streaming impacts this year compared to big name hip-hop artists. I guess Ed Sheeran is the only big name pop star that, should he release the next album probably by next year, should have even bigger streaming impacts that big name hip-hop artists enjoy right now.  It's not only the UK charts getting worse though - other mainstream charts around the world do that too. The Billboard Hot 100 in the US and Canada is even worse than the OCC's UK Top 100 charts.
