Looking forward to receiving this today and excited for the exclusive content! Surely we must at least get a studio version of 'New York City'?

Patiently waiting for mine to arrive - I need a studio version of NYC in my life!

My post has been and gone and no sign of the cassettes :nocheer: Bit sh!tty that something pre-ordered 2 months ago they can’t manage to get to fans on release day.
Mine came ;-) but gonna have to break the seal and open to get into it to get the access
so it is just a video of New York City. fans are not happy. get over it, its £10 cassette hardly breaking the bank :)

Well, it probably would have been helpful to list or specify the content for people before they purchase it. That's basically duping them.

This! I’ve never bought anything previously without knowing the contents - would have been good to know beforehand although mine will be stashed away in my collection so not too bothered.

Not bothered about the content either, just wanted for collection ;-)

Wonder if Kylie will keep the biggest selling cassette title of the year? Take That have just announced a double cassette of their new album and you can add a personalised message to be printed inside too! Love how much innovation there is with vinyl and cassettes right now.

Is it a studio version or just a live recording?

It’s the live version from her NY show - I recorded my own video of it when I was there so I won’t be opening it  I bought 2 copies one to keep sealed and one to open for the bonus content so I’ll sell one I guess.

Prodigy already sold over 2000 cassette tapes this week in UK

competition hotting up.

looks like BMG knew and released more. it will make good media coverage if she was number 1 year end on cassettes

I find the comeback of the cassette format as it was always the worst format released.

I’ve been expecting more copies of the cassette to become available today as they have kept it up on the website with the ‘sold out’ sign since September for some reason

Yep it’s an odd comeback and only for collection purposes - I don’t know anyone that buys them that actually plays them and they are just a collectors item. Anything that can sales moving in the declining album market is a plus although I think cassettes will be more of a fad unlike vinyl and will soon disappear again.

I saw in an article they do minimum 4000 cassettes productions in one go .... so she either has another 2500 up her sleeve to flog or she had 1500 to get rid off from the last batches.....

The standard Golden cassettes have just appeared this week on Sanity in Australia so the extra could have gone there - also let’s not forget that BMG are releasing all their acts on cassette at the moment (Rick Astley, Richard Ashcroft, Prodigy etc.,) so they are probably one of the cassette manufactures biggest customers at the moment so can dictate what they want and when and the numbers that are produced.

True uf they are releasing for a few acts. I would still say vinyl has a far bigger appeal and its a shame more attention us t oaud to vinyl or CD singles.
