Only because they released CDs as well. Are Westlife doing those?

I really can't see anything for this beyond low top 40. They'll be top 5 on the singles sales chart but lack of streaming will knock them down considerably.

is this the ed sheeran song?

Yep, and produced by Steve Mac, who has worked with them forever anyway (and now works with everyone else in the industry too).

The lyrics according to the OCC include:

“I know that I’m punching way above, so lucky that we fell in love. You could have someone without a belly or temper, perfect teeth, hair growing where it’s meant to – you know my lips are all I can hold against you."

Classic Ed

Yes it is the Ed song and judging by the very small clip, it is very Jess Glynne - All I Am-esque.. so pretty much Steve Mac on auto pilot.

Edit: What Rich just said lmao

those lyrics cannot be real? seriously? Ed hits rock bottom with every song he touches, every one is worse than the one before

thought 2002 was unbeatable :D

Due to the comeback hype i think they will achieve a decent peak position.

After that, it wont be a huge hit.

They essentially will be an albums and tour act.

To think, There was a time he was actually coming up with great lyrical one liners such as the one about being up and coming in an elevator. :(

Is this getting released on Thursday? They really should wait till Friday to get as many sales as possible in the one week if they are hoping to get in the top 40.

i believe they should have a plan, maybe its commercially released on thursday on radio and maybe spotify and go on sale the next day... Usually the singles are being released at midnight of friday? Because this one they mentioned something about thursday morning, like 8:30...

It will get to top 40 for sure, no need to worry about that, unless they mess up with the physical release and the streamings...

The album and tour are the big ones for this!! Just can't make out what this is going to sound like from the clip, sadly won't be as good as their classics though I reckon.

There hasn’t been a Top 200 singles chart since June 2017! Just a Top 100 since then. Obviously your point still stands in the sense that Out of Our Heads didn’t make the chart. It’s becoming increasingly harder for older artists like Take That to achieve a chart placement nowadays, even if their download sales are ok.

Hard to predict how a comeback Westlife single will do, but I’d be very surprised if they’re not severely let down by streaming.

Charis, quite a lot of songs are released on Thursdays! Also, is there actually a physical release forthcoming or is that not known yet?

One thing only confirmed is it will have its first play on the radio on Thursday 0830

What station?

I am nervous for them, just want the song to be good! Singles chart doesn't matter but I just hope the media don't put a spin on things. Been listening to their songs this morning....a lot of their b-sides are by favourite songs.

Not sure, this time around all was pretty unclear with their single... An artwork has been released, but no pre order of physical CD is available, no music video details, their website is still actually closed.... Looks like to me they are around now to enjoy it and dont care much about charts :P
I'm happy with that, means there won't be any pressure and they could be around for the long haul.

Jenny just announced they will have the first play and first Irish play of the single on 2fm tomorrow probably earlier than 0830. In UK, 0830 on most of Bauer, Hits and Wave FM radio stations. Universal Malaysia, Poland etc had promoted Hello My Love will premiere tomorrow as well
