July 23, 2025Jul 23 I think as well when there’s so few episodes, every other episode being Jez either killing someone or threatening to kill someone or locking them up leaves basically the whole cast coming up short with no airtime unless they are connected to Jez. I can’t wait for Claire or her supposedly “worst villain ever” grandad played by Ashley Thomas from Emmerdale to bash his head in for the 30th l
July 30, 2025Jul 30 The only thing worse than Ste and Lucas scenes are Lucas and Dillon scenes, CHRIST
July 30, 2025Jul 30 The show is in a shockingly shit place again. I've been watching for 18 months now having been enticed back in with the mega hyped up crash storyline in January 2024. I don't think the show has an identity right now at all. I'll try and see it through to the 30th anniversary but christ they need to pull something out of the bag otherwise I can't see it surviving much longer

That’s about it. How on earth do they have Myra and Goldie back and both are just complete wallpaper yet we have to see angsty Heartstopper from Lucas and Dillon every 5 minutes as he cheats for the 12th time. Grace they’ve completely f***ed with the trafficking thing, it’s good having Clare back but I don’t even feel she really has a need to be there.Maybe they are waiting to kick off storylines around the 30th, it feels like the trafficking storyline wound down and they don’t want to start anything properly so they are just filling in a few months.
August 5, 2025Aug 5 A bit of a better week but I'm not sure how within the first half of today's episode we see Clare and Grace getting arrested, interviewed and bailed in what, 9 minutes? The pacing is so off. Things like this could be given a whole episode or two to play out so it's not really landing or making an impact.Jez and Liberty can also f*** off, couldn't care less about them. John Paul's reaction is the best part of the story. Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by lewistgreen
August 6, 2025Aug 6 A character that actually fits in and has potential for a long future just binned off for the short term gain of a shock value killer storyline, what the f*** are they doing??I feel like I just keep parroting the same things but that’s the state this show is in, it’s not going anywhere. I would be surprised if it lasted much past the 30th at this rate
August 11, 2025Aug 11 I’ve got a horrible feeling Sienna doesn’t survive this storyline one way or another and that would 100% be me done with this show.

August 17, 2025Aug 17 I love that, Brookside is before my time but it’s such a cool idea to celebrate both Hollyoaks and pay homage to Brookside that paved the way for it.
August 18, 2025Aug 18 I didn't watch last week until this weekend and I think I may even stop before the anniversary. It's so so bad again

August 24, 2025Aug 24 Delighted Sue is reprising her role and hopefully its the start of Brookies bigger name signing up.
August 26, 2025Aug 26 I think I’m done with this, at least until Jez goes, complete and utter rubbish and an insult to Anna Passey’s talent. There isn’t a single thing going on I care about one jot. Clare being back is great and I do love Grace as a character, but the trafficking stuff really marred her. They didn’t need to have her be part of it really, Clare coming back was enough for her character to be getting on with plus there’s her grandad now.Hopefully the anniversary picks it back up otherwise I will probably drop it.
