Yeah I love Thorgy and get the feeling she was shafted a bit.

 

But AS3 was a load of bullsh!t anyway

Thorgy's bottom 2 for divas is one of the most bizarre ever, I mean it wasn't top worthy or anything but what more could have been done with Stevie Nicks? It was one of those weeks where nobody was terrible, bar Milk of course, but Thorgy nailed it and did as much as she could.

 

It didn't seem that big at the time but that did set the tone for AS3, you never know what could have happened had Thorgy been there, kept improving and got a couple of wins. It might have only been two weeks but Milk was very lucky not to go in week 1 let alone week 2! I'm not gonna go for a whole what should have happened thing because say Aja or Thorgy lasted longer, you never know what they would have done in those extra weeks :lol:

I loved AS2 and the only thing I would change would be Roxxxy going home earlier with Tatianna/Alyssa staying a bit longer. Alaska completely shit all over the competition and Katya though. As much as I love Katya, she couldn't compete with Alaska.

 

I also agree with the Thorgy love *_* Thorgy was so robbed. I was really annoyed with the way she went. She had so much potential and I was really hoping she would win a couple challenges. My ideal top 4 for AS3 would've been BenDeLaCreme/Shangela/Thorgy/Trixie with Aja coming in 5th.

 

Happy to see Latrice go home after giving us that dress... The top 4 is strong, but Trinity has the best track record. It'll be interesting to see how the final goes - I heard it's going to be another LYFYL-type format? Although it'll be interesting to see what involvement Chad/Alaska/Trixie will have.

I haven't seen placement spoilers but I've both of the following in "tea" posts so it will probably be one of them

the previous winners decide the top 2 from the challenge which is the same as Read U Wrote U and Kitty Girl, but also that there were two lipsyncs, and the winner of each one goes top 2. The former sounds more All Stars to me and surely with them not being in the competition, the former winners won't rob anyone but knowing All Stars it'll be a case of who's friends with who and some kind of bullshit will go down :lol:

I'm just wondering but how is the winner already known? I thought they usually do a taping of all the finalists winning and it's not until the last episode airs that the winner is known? Or is it different for all stars?

Anyway, after all the praise thrown towards Monet I was so prepared to see her win.

 

And camera made sure to show Trinity's insecurities over and over again and overshadowing her entire hard work :rolleyes:

 

 

 

I thought Monet did better than Trinity in the song and final lip sync. I was happy with the double win tbh - Monet had done really well throughout the competition as well. If Manila hadn't been eliminated, she would've likely won. But this double win between Monet/Trinity is the next best thing - I love both queens.

It just feels like such a waste of a season, the fact they dragged it for a few weeks where the competition went nowhere with the roast episode having no elimination, then Latrice coming back, then Valentine going as she would have in the roast anyway.... And then to just do whoever was the "actual" winner dirty by having what felt like a rushed tie decsiion just kind of put the cheery on top. It was a great season in places but this just makes it feel pointless. Even if it was actually Monet on the basis of tonight, fine, I think I'd just prefer they did that and actually had a winner. Where was this energy for Shangela?

 

What dirt does Monet have on the producers?! I totally understand that she won that final "challenge" and lipsync, but it's just the fact that throughout the season, they really hammed up Monet's praise, inflating her track record to fit a narrative. Even tonight, going through all their journeys, it felt like they really went OTT on Monet's praise and I just do not get it, I'm not seeing it. I think she's a great queen and I have nothing against her, but I've really not seen 1/10th of what the judges have been harping on about all season.

 

The final challenge was HORRENDOUS anyway, they need to stop letting Todrick do these because he is so extra treating it like it's a Beyonce arena show, and what was that mix of Super Queen?! I think anything was gonna be a letdown with that behind it :lol:

what the HELL was that? but I guess I understand why she did it - to avoid controversy. if Trinity was the winner then everyone would be like oh look 4 white blonde winner queens how great. if Monet won then everyone would be like Trinity should've won.

 

that's why I'm always NOT looking forward to the finale episodes these days. they just feel so rushed and barely bring anything to the table.

 

I loved this season actually. it had its low points but it was great overall.

 

seeing Naomi and Monique sashay sucked as they were the 2 I was rooting for but it was obvious this was going to happen from the critiques.

I’d literally rather they brought back like Latrice again and crowned her if it meant we go to avoid that awful edit!

It straight up felt like a Lee Dawson parody episode for the last 3 minutes so embarrassing

This season proved to me that Drag Race is really declining in quality :( the editing, the judgings, the challenges .... just no. I don't even hate people like Latrice or Monet really, it's not their fault RuPaul favoured them

I don’t even think Rupaul favoured Monet, I feel like he was team Trintiy but the producers had other ideas.

I don't really know what to say about the final. Naomi and Trinity were by far the best in the Super Queen challenge, both looks and performance, although the production was absolutely terrible throughout. They both killed the runway too, whilst Monét and Monique were both just okay in both

 

From the critiques, it was obvious that Monét was going to be in the final lipsync, so I'll just be grateful that she wasn't outright handed the win, as she did outperform Trinity during the final lipsync, not that it was difficult

 

Overall, I am glad that this series is finally over, it feels like it's dragged on for far too long and has kind of left me with a sour taste with the way the last 3/4 weeks have gone, after such a promising start. I really hope they wait until at least 2 more regular seasons of Drag Race have happened before bringing it back for All Stars 5
