November 14, 20187 yr Prodigy coming for Christina Aguilera’s record with that drop from #1 :drama: I think The Vamps already beat that last year. Just checked and they fell 1-35 but the album later re-entered at number 2 but fell to 47 the following week. Wish it got #1 again so it could break the record twice  Edited November 14, 20187 yr by Jordan Lee
November 14, 20187 yr Well it kinda HAS destroyed all the competition this year, see the YTD thread Let’s be real though...the greatest showman album came out in December 2017 and has had a re release with a singalong version and now going to get another bump thanks to this cover album. A Star is Born soundtrack came out last month and is in the top 20 of the YTD chart. I’m not knocking the greatest showman as I love the film and soundtrack but it’s not really a fair comparison between the two really. Oh and the fact songs are being used in Xmas adverts and three contestants singing songs from it on X factor surely has helped the boost aswell. Edited November 14, 20187 yr by Warrentw
November 14, 20187 yr I thought albums falling from #1 to outside the top 20 were a common occurrence now? Hey at least they got there!

Let’s be real though The greatest showman had already passed over a million before the “singalong rerelease” and if it wasn’t such a juggernaut their wouldn’t even have been a consideration of a covers album Besides the number 2 selling album of the year isn’t even half of the sales Also successful albums are re released all the time Edited November 14, 20187 yr by 777666jason
November 14, 20187 yr Well it kinda HAS destroyed all the competition this year, see the YTD thread This! It has left GaGa in the dust in the charts already even a full year after release!!
November 14, 20187 yr I thought albums falling from #1 to outside the top 20 were a common occurrence now? Hey at least they got there! I wouldn't say it's common, but it's not super unusual either.
November 14, 20187 yr I wouldn't say it's common, but it's not super unusual either. Not unusual? I didn't think anyone aside from Christina and The Vamps had done it?

And buttered muffin stop being so silly will you the album is nearly a YEAR old and it’s a soundtrack not a gaga album. Go look at the YTD chart forum ASIB is number 19 with just over a month of release so stop going on like the album has flopped Edited November 14, 20187 yr by Warrentw
November 14, 20187 yr Not unusual? I didn't think anyone aside from Christina and The Vamps had done it? Oops meant super usual, meaning that it does NOT happen that often.

November 14, 20187 yr looks like Muse have slowed down a bit, so won't reach 50K then not surprisingly TGS did better than both Olly and Muse yesterday
November 14, 20187 yr Muse will be higher than Little Flops next week :cheer: I used to get offended by your comments but I'm warming to you 😂.

A Star Is Born is a 2018 American musicalromantic drama film produced and directed by Bradley Cooper (in his directorial debut) and written by Eric Roth, Cooper and Will Fetters. The Greatest Showman is a 2017 American musical film directed by Michael Gracey in his directorial debut, written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon and starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya. A comparison is fair no matter how you try and spin it Good for olly should have released last week if he wanted an easy number 1 should still do well in long run hopefully get gold or platinum. So another easy week for ariana wonder if she has enough steam to last until christmas
