Ariana Grande's new single thank u, next should easily grab a second week at #1 on the singles chart. Cheryl also makes her comeback, her previous lead singles have all topped the chart- where will Love Made Me Do It land? Potential new entries include Fredo's latest track BMT and XXXTENTACION's Bad

On the albums chart, Muse could score their sixth #1 with Simulation Theory, or Olly Murs could get his fifth with new album+greatest hits combo You Know, I Know. The Beatles' White Album should make a big re-entry following the 50th Anniversary re-issue, and Imagine Dragons release fourth album Origins just a year after Evolve. Other new releases include Architects, Aled Jones/Russell Watson, Lil Peep, D-Day Darlings, Jonas Blue and Jeff Goldblum

Saturday and Sunday: Information on Twitter from MintRoyale only.

Does he still post any chart info? Been a long time since he gave any sales figures.

Tweet from Olly Murs -

Remember ALBUM’S OUT!! We are at #2 so far!! Need the MURS ARMY more than ever this week... let’s not go down without a fight! 👊🏻

His sales must be quite poor compared to his usual standards then especially as he’s had multiple HMV signings plus all the bundles/signed CDs and vinyl from his website.

It's going to be a big week in albums this week, I was thinking Muse would be a dead cert but then Olly has pulled a great move (see what I did there?) by combining the album with a greatest hits set... I'm surprised more artists don't do this actually, the only other example that springs to mind is Michael Jackson's HIStory.

Does anyone have opening figures for the last Muse, Olly Murs and Imagine Dragons albums?

Edited by M4NG0

Dolly Parton packaged her last album with a greatest hits and did very well from it!

I presume Muse are at #1 atm, I'm sure the Olly album will hold up better than that but will have to miss out on continuing his #1 streak.

Muse - Drones opened with 72.8k

Olly Murs - 24 Hrs opened with 58.0k

I can't find what Imagine Dragons - Evolve opened with in the UK.

There was an interview with the bloke from Imagine Dragons in the London Evening Standard saying that they've released this new album "only" 18 months after the last one and aren't touring to promote it. I presume that means it's not expected to do well.

I can't find what Imagine Dragons - Evolve opened with in the UK.

It was a new entry at number 3 on 30 June 2017 with sales of 20,217.

I was so happy to see Ari at number 1! however it's tough at the moment with so many bangers about. x

guess Olly will get a bump from XF

I personally think he should have released a proper Greatest Hits instead of this dual think that smells like lack of confidence and then new album next year

sure a proper GH would have sold well as his fanbase is not really the Spotify generation ;)

I think labels are done with releasing Greatest Hits alone, there is no need when Spotify exists and you can just stream the 'best of' said artist playlist.

Yeah, Greatest Hits collections have been rendered virtually irrelevant by streaming but I think it makes sense for an artist like Olly, as his fanbase is slightly older and would still buy CDs.

If Olly promotes all week he could do it and the x factor performance might help get him some sales too, really depends on how big the gap is which we will find out today.

yes GH totally make sense for older acts including Olly

Blondie did that with their 2014 album Ghosts of Download...

Kylies Golden is midweek #35! 1522 sales so far this week (1256 - physicals, 180 downloads, 86 streaming)"
