Of course 1 or 2 artists with fan bases that buy anything and everything will still shift a few thousand but Lady Gaga could probably have put Shallow out on CD single and got those sales too.

 

This is...not the case. Perfect Illusion couldn't even make the top 10. Shallow took off and was largely a successful #1 because the film drove people to buy it on iTunes a lot. Certain songs do better on iTunes, and Shallow was one that proved that iTunes isn't "completely dead".

Rudimental & Rita Ora collab is the only big one, but Take That and Rita Ora's albums are releasing.

Well, I mean the song's gonna be on her album anyway.

According to the Official Charts' website they're releasing it as a single as well.

They may as well push the Rita/Rudimental collab as a proper single, seeing as Let You Love Me is about to go ACR and Rudimental's Tom Walker collab is flopping.
