August 10, 20241 yr Strange start date why not start on first week of sept as a new autumn show taking us into the darker nights?I'm guessing the thinking is to warm up the schedule, so to speak. Audiences will be out of the habit of tuning in on Saturday nights. I think they intend to use Alan Carr's Picture Slam into Strictly. Let's not forget that they used to start The X Factor in mid August for a while!

They were amazing for the whole programme, particularly Nigel. He came agonisingly close to getting the 1970s one in round one. I got it, but I was following pop music at the time. He was a long way from being born, and it wasn't exactly a song that gets played much nowadays.

They should have got double for not losing an single pound in the final round.
