December 3, 20187 yr Author Without ACR Mariah would potentially be number1 this week or next week based on how the song is performing now. If Mariah actively promoted she could move away from ACR is this correct? If my assumption is correct, does Leona Lewis overcome ACR as she actively promoted One More Sleep This week? The label would have to apply for a reset to SCR - Leona remains on ACR right now. Mariah's quite a way off #1 in the "old rules" chart anyway, Ariana's so far ahead!
December 3, 20187 yr The Christmas songs will likely go into decline again in the next couple of weeks before picking up again closer to Christmas, they always hit a peak on the 1st of December don't they? I think it's still pretty unlikely that Mariah would ever be in a position to have got to #1 regardless of the ACR rules.
December 3, 20187 yr She's due to release a new album next year, supposedly in time for Christmas 2019. Album sales really are abysmal. At this rate more supermarkets are just going to stop stocking albums or at least they will carry only a very narrow selection. A decade ago my local Asda used to have an entertainment (CD & DVD) department which stocked just about every new release. Now the albums they sell are stocked on one display and are more or less limited to the top 20 plus a small amount of back catalogue. Most have my local Tesco now stocks a Top 3 (!!!) when previously they had a Top 50.

Yes they peak on the 1st December then wane a little until 15-17th before getting their final boost until Xmas night. But in the streaming age most songs get a huge boost each weekend with Xmas parties/putting trees up so they normally stay stable as well.
December 4, 20187 yr Yep, that drop for Rita is a huge surprise, I mean missing the top 10 is one thing, dropping 20 places and being behind the D-Day Darlings and Pinkfong in week 2 is something else completely.
December 4, 20187 yr Good to see Mariah top of the x mas songs.had hoped def leppard would be higher than 29,I hope it can stay top 40.
December 4, 20187 yr Dalton is up to #4 https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/x...-arthur__24938/ Rak-Su were #6 at this point last year
December 4, 20187 yr Not that unexpected given that he'd sold 6K on Sunday night (enough for #23) and the #4 yesterday had only done around 11.6K in three days. I expect he'll be number 2 tomorrow and then stall.
December 4, 20187 yr I wonder where Dalton will be on Spotify! I believe Rak Su were top 30 on their second day?
December 4, 20187 yr Just checked Rak-su's 1st week performance on Spotify They debuted at #26 with 183K and climbed to #17 (211K) on day 2 first week was 26-17-19-20
December 4, 20187 yr Dalton is in at #89 on Spotify x comparison with 90K Edited December 4, 20187 yr by Bjork
December 4, 20187 yr Does anyone know if Britneys my only wish this year could chart i noticed it’s doing well on Spotify
December 4, 20187 yr Does anyone know if Britneys my only wish this year could chart i noticed it’s doing well on Spotify It's unlikely to do so, considering it's on ACR and is fairly low in the Spotify chart anyway.
December 4, 20187 yr Dalton is in at #89 on Spotify x comparison with 90K does this mean dalton is doing worse than rak su on streams while doing better on Itunes?
