I like this but my favourite version is def by Chris Martin.

Green Day's 2015 Christmas single 'Xmas Time of the Year' finally came to streaming yesterday!

 

Not a bad effort from Green Day, have t been too interested in much they e released from the new album so far though.

Coldplay Christmas Lights probably one of my favourite modern Christmas classics, Chris Martins voice is just so brillant. Peaked at 13 in the UK with strong support by radio although it's midweek release meant it never charted in the top 10!

 

 

This video reminds me a lot of “Tonight Tonight” by Smashing Pumpkins, probably because both were highly influenced by the old French cinema thhing.

The video is class, filmed along the Thames.

Back for another year! Lately I've been particularly enjoying power metal band Majestica (fronted by Sabaton's Tommy Johansson) with their new single "Ghost of Christmas Past" from their A Christmas Carol-inspired album out next month! The vocals are particularly beautiful. :wub:

 

The Darkness - Christmastime (Don't Let the Bells End) is a classic!

 

Indeed, brilliant song.

 

And this is a lovely and underappreciated 80s indie/rock/alternative Christmas song.
