Shotgun up to 3 after the Jools performance :o . Seen he performed that and Paradise. Did he perform another?

he did Don't Matter Now as well~

these guys have got a good boost from the show, their album's up in the top 5 -

 22 The Record Company - I’m Getting Better (And I'm Feeling It Right Now)

 36 The Record Company - Life To Fix

Why is he so averse to promoting his actual current single? I can understand him choosing to perform 'Shotgun' over 'Hold My Girl' in slots where he only has one song but he performed 3 times on Hootenanny and STILL snubbed it?

'Budapest' has re-entered the top 100 yet 'Don't Matter Now' is still not there. Lol.

21. Tony Evans - Auld Lang Syne

22. The Record Company - I’m Getting Better (And I'm Feeling It Right Now)

36. The Record Company - Life To Fix

44. Big Will's NYE Party - Auld Lang Syne

45. FISHER - Losing It

COME ON FISHER!

I think I stick to Jax Jones, I find that track a bit of a racket :( just played it for the first time, to see what all the fuss was about over it.

I think Mark & Miley is going to be the next #1 just needs an extra boost from somewhere, I can't see the new track by Post Malone troubling the top spot.
George's vocals seem to have got a lot worse since I saw him jn April, maybe he's strained his vocal chords to the point where he can't perform "Hold My Girl"? It is a bit more of a vocally demanding track than "Shotgun"
can't at Ezra performing anything but hold my girl
It's not exactly gonna convince any others to buy his album by performing songs most of the public already know!

I think this is exactly what it will do. Remind public of the songs they already know and love. The album's obviously benefiting from this sort of promo judging by how high it is in the album chart! Seems like that's the priority over the single for George and his label, Hold My Girl just seems like a chance to keep new music on the radio.

I don't get it, introducing the public to more songs on the album will surely maximise its sales? Everyone knows those two songs, and you still can't escape hearing them anywhere.

The general public is fickle though. They buy stuff based on what they know which is why the now series was huge (before Spotify). The know paradise and shotgun. They know they are on the album so are therefore more likely to buy the album if they hear them

There’s no right or wrong here, both sides are correct. People buy based on what they know but they also buy post-album because it opens up more of a showcase of the tracks available.

There's probably truth in both opinions but then why would any artist ever release a 3/4th single?

Ezra will perform Shotgun at the BRITs and it'll be #1 after that, just watch

Heaven help us

Like I said, to keep their radio presence high...!
