Cooper Bill passes by the large majority of 1 meaning we are legally going to have to ask for another extension.

Was the 2016 Referendum unlawful & Void?

No.

was the 1975 referendum unlawful and Void? No.

A lot of the people who voted in both referendums are now dead and 1.5 million have joined the voter registration in the last 3 years.

Is it illegal to ask the public what it wants now it's seen the total shitshow that is Brexit for what it is? No. Is it fair to ask again? Yes.

It baffles me how people can't quite grasp the concept of democracy. However, I don't think a lot of Remain voters realise the chance of another referendum resulting in the most Brexit option available.

No-one has 'seen Brexit for what it is' as it *hasn't happened yet*.

Except even if it was on any ballot paper I can’t imagine it going through. There are so many flaws and holes to No Deal, that nobody would be able to bullshit their way through. You can’t call it Project Fear either. Personally I think a No Deal probably kills the Tories off for a generation such as the impact.

I doubt that! One term of Corbyn tax/spend and they'd be begging for the Tories back!

I quite agree, this is just the Starters. The Main meal and dessert will take years to sort out, so if you think you're sick of hearing about it now......imagine a decade of it (and not just the EU, trade deals with every nation in the world).

I think *this* version of where the Tory party looks to be heading will be far too right-wing for a lot of the more liberal Tories. Just depends if Change UK gets going..

If a long extension leaves us stuck in the EU we should be as difficult as possible. We could veto any increase in the budget, obstruct the putative EU army and block Mr Macron’s integrationist schemes

Another example of what I struggle to take the hardline Brexiteers seriously. Rightly getting lots of stick ion Twitter. What a thicko.

yes it's that public school "I'm able to quote Latin & ancient literature therefore my opinion is more important than yours, you comprehensive school oiks, even though I'm actually bullshitting and relying on you not knowing what the f*** I'm on about to be able to challenge me without you looking like a numpty" ego-driven rich-supporting tax-dodging attitude that just annoys me so much I want to show them up to be exactly what they are.

Hi Boris, Hi Jason, Hi Nigel, Hi everyone else in the H of C from that background..... :P

oh and BTW, it's called undermining your own argument but being too thick to realise what you've just done....

Quite a run of form for Rees Mogg:

1) Vows never to “abandon” the DUP then abandons the DUP

2) Describes withdrawal agreement as slavery then votes for it

3) Insults people who didn’t go to Eton, especially Wykehamists

4) Promotes AfD

5) Explains the enormous power UK has in EU

Honestly as far as politicians go he is absolutely pig thick. The true definition of people being lulled in a false sense of security just because he speaks in RP. But again this guy wants Brexit for different reasons...

Similarly, the Quitters are complaining that we may have to take part in the elections to the European parliament, elections whose existence rather undermines their claim that the EU is undemocratic.

Anyway in other news it looks like the Labour and Conservative talks have ended - May has actually offered nothing new to the table.

Dunno if she's trying to push through a No Deal and collapse Parlimeant or if she's trying to appease the right-wing fantasists of the the Tory party. Either way looks like we're heading for a long extension or a No Deal. Or May trying to force her shitty deal through double bluffs against her own party.

This is worth a watch - former plain Speaker Of The House Betty Bethroyd telling it like it is and sticking up for young people to boot.

Here’s an interesting article by right-wing journalist and Leave voter Peter Oborne on why he has changed his mind.

Just because the process isn't easy, is not a reason not to do it - after all, we knew the EU would make it as hard as possible, right from the start. What was not obvious though, was that our own MP's would in many cases betray their voters, and also make it as hard as possible.

How are MPs betraying their voters? Their duty is to act in what they believe to be in the best interests of their constituents and the rest of the country. They are not delegates.

The EU have agreed a deal which delivers what was voted for. The Hard Brexiters are the ones who have decided they want to pursue their own version of Brexit which no-one has agreed to. Totally down to them lying.
