Love that he finally decided to release this after leaving it off the album - it’s now available on streaming and iTunes etc.,

Yeah he's also confirmed it's the last song of the Hypersonic Missiles era!

So the next actual single will likely be the lead for album 2 - I can see that coming at the end of this year hopefully.

:o I was only thinking this past week that "Call Me Lover" and maybe even "You're Not The Only One" and "Leave Fast" would've made good singles. I can't keep up with what was released pre-"That Sound" though

"Hold On" is alright, I can see why it was missed off. What a great first era anyway, I'm totally into it now.

I found this fantastic performance from 6 years ago! A man commenting then got it spot on with "Sam Fender - remember that name!!"

He has (half?) jokingly promised another load of Bruce Springsteen rip-offs for his next record and that's absolutely fine by me!
As expected ‘Hold Out’ didn’t hold on to its Top 100 placing (It was #95 in the first mids) but along with The Brits exposure it’s helped the album return back to the Top 40 at 32 after being 43, 42 and 41 for the past few weeks.

UK tour confirmed as cancelled today which was due to start on Friday - obviously the right/only decision.

Sam has announced he's releasing his live lounge cover of Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' tomorrow:

Brits Critics' Choice winner Sam Fender has confirmed his debut album will be out later this year, he's also re-releasing Play God as his next single:

Really looking forward to the album!

oh great cover! just makes you realise how fantastic the original is

I like his voice in this one, really can't stand it when he imitates Brandon Flowers but he sings fine here

So pleased he’s released this as most live lounge tracks are restricted to YouTube and physicals of the R1 album.

He’s managed to make the song his own and shows of the best of his voice - really reminds me of Jeff Buckley.

The have released a video for the song but the R1 live lounge video is obviously far superior - they should have pushed that maybe?

Also the song has made it to Top 50 on iTunes so far :cheer:

Vinyl reduced to £15.99 on HMV and Amazon... it’s just one of those records that sounds so much better on vinyl like The XX, Tame Impala and London Grammar.
