January 28, 20196 yr I keep seeing the track length of this and wishing the BBC would send it to Eurovision :drama: it would be like a dream entry. It’s a near perfect pop song and my favourite Mabel song by a country mile. Her vocal delivery is so effortlessly brilliant on this, and the production is spot on. Another smash for Steve Mac indeed, he always just completely gets how to tap into the zeitgeist.
February 13, 20196 yr Okay I take back what I previously said, I'm loving this so much. I've been revisiting Ivy to Roses a lot and it's actually a really strong mixtape, although I do think some of the tracks from Bedroom and earlier should have been included too She performed it in the Live Lounge today, as well as a cover of Little Mix's Touch, which interpolated Waiting All Night and Hold On, We're Going Home 99NPNdhYVzs ouIkL5E3c2U She sounded great on both and I loved the cover in particular. An inspired choice, especially with the theme being past Brits winners. I really think she has a good shot at winning the Brit too, which is probably more luck on her side than anything else, as I wouldn't really say any of the nominees this year have broke through properly, in comparison to previous winners - Dua last year, Sam in 2015 and Ed in 2012 being the best examples of what a breakthrough artist looks like - but it'll still be a good career boost for her, and hopefully we'll finally get her proper debut album this year!
February 13, 20196 yr I really want her (or Ella Mai but that'll never happen) to win the Brit but from what I've seen on Twitter, I've got a feeling it'll be that indie band :(. Especially as it's fan voted. I'm so thrilled to see her doing so well, back when I heard her mixtape I knew she was something special.
February 13, 20196 yr I think Jorja Smith and Mabel stand a good chance winning that award but I agree I've seen quite a lot support for that Idles Band online and I'm a bit worried they might win which would be quite ridiculous
February 15, 20196 yr Remixes now available from ADP (Yungen’s Bestie), R3HAB and Conducta bTUjr1osaoM O9g3HPYuwu4 0NnsnyOZQHY
February 18, 20196 yr Stanning this! It feels like it could be her New Rules except without an iconic video.
February 18, 20196 yr Stanning this! It feels like it could be her New Rules except without an iconic video. she defo tried to emulate it but it just didn't work. still a banga of a track tho.

Their album was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of last year. It's a great album that covers issues ranging from xenophobia, homophobia and toxic masculinity.
