February 7, 20196 yr i feel like it must be one of them situations where (as very well we all know with her and her writing team / friends / fam) that they’re all in such a close bubble that ari doesn’t really ask anyone outside of that bubble what they think about the songs that it ends up just being personal to them and the songwriting process or connection sometimes.. which doesn’t really relate to the general public when they just finally want a pop bob again especially when you’re pushing former said single as a now album track and 3rd single from said probably already bought album by then
February 8, 20196 yr As I said in the album thread I'd have Bloodline and Bad Idea before this for sure and then Needy/NASA too, but I do really like this - the production *.* I don't think she needs another trappy single after there was already 7 Rings, like Jake said though I think she just doesn't really care and is in that little bubble of what matters to her and fair enough tbh. She's in a position where she can kind of do that, but it is frustrating when she has songs like Bad Idea and Bloodline, I'll miffed if she does end up just sitting on them :drama: Tbf in this day and age, it's fairly easy if something takes off to just make it a single anyway, as with Breathin', so they can always see what happens with the songs on the album and this can easily get pushed back if it's not the best single choice.

Yeah ngl I don't really get this either, Reputation was an absolute mess of an era which basically turned into Taylor sacrificing the campaign etc in order to regain her reputation (which low-key kinda worked as she's def receiving a lot less hate now then she did a couple of years ago). I agree with Cody that everything Ari has done this era feels more similar to Purpose/Back-to-back RiRi releases
February 8, 20196 yr LH4Y1ZUUx2g My first listen of the song was watching the video and I'm immediately underwhelmed. It's by far the worst single/music video from this album so far, I'd even go as far as saying her worst single since Yours Truly. I hope it grows on me though, because the concept is fierce and I love the twist at the end of the video

February 9, 20196 yr Another underwhelming single. This era totally doesnt deserve the success that she's having. I'm yet to be wowed. And this is coming from three great singles from Sweetener
