He rarely scores from outside the box anymore. I don't think anyone is denying that he is not a great player, as he clearly is, but he's also not the same Ronaldo of 10 years ago. There's a reason why his transfer to Juventus is regarded as a disaster.

I had high hopes for a possible resurgent Cabo Verde run, but it's early still. Libya beating an upstart Gabon side, but it was the first quality match Libya played in their home country in years. Kazakhstan and Ukraine trading extra-time goals in the second half to end up at 2-2 in Nur-Sultan. France being held 1-1 at home versus a Bosnian side that hasn't shown much quality in recent times. A goal at the last possible second by Montenegro's Radunovic meant they had grabbed a key point Istanbul and after the Norway/Netherlands 1-1 draw in Oslo, the top four teams are within 1 point of each other after 4 matches in Group G! Under any elite coach Juve would have comfortably won (or at least challenged Inter) for the Scudetto. Pirlo clearly didn't help, but he was signed to win Juventus the Champions League and they became a worse team because of it. It's not like they went out to PSG/Liverpool/City at any occasion either. The tactics Juventus played are all around Ronaldo, just like Portugal. For him to have as many shots as he does, he needs the supply. So that means Greenwood/Rashford/Sancho change from taking a lot of shots, to remembering to go out wide & supply a cross and cut inside and shoot. Like I've said before he will score a bucketload against the dross teams, but the team has to be set up to supply him as he's not going to link play or press like Ibrahimovic did for example.

Sarri won it with Juve the year prior. He did win 2 cups tbf, but also they flopped in the CL which like with PSG is the one the board really cared about after 8 consecutive Scudettos. March 23, 20223 yr Wembley will host the revived 'Finalissima' match between European champions Italy and Copa America winners Argentina on 1 June. European football's governing body Uefa and South American counterparts Conmebol agreed last year to play three editions of the intercontinental match. London was confirmed as the host city in December and Uefa now says the national stadium will be the venue. It will be the first time the fixture has been played since 1993.

Harry Maguire has been rewarded for sitting on the bench at Man United by getting called up for the England squad.
October 21, 20222 yr Author I was wondering if I could run a contest for the World Cup that is a variation of the one where one team gets randomly selected for each person. In that scenario, a group of people just automatically gets killed on selection day if they end up with Cameroon, or Qatar, or Tunisia for example. They have no chance. So instead I would split the 32 teams into four pots of 8 teams each. Rank them all simply by last FIFA Rankings, so 1-8 is Pot A, 9-16 is Pot B, 17-24 is Pot C, and 25-32 is Pot D. Each participant gets one team from each Pot, so yes there can be multiple people with the same team, which is fine, because everyone is bound to have a different set of teams. With everyone having a team from each pot, the odds are more even on who will do best. Until all 8 have been drawn from each pot, it does not get reset and you can't have two teams from the same actual World Cup group so that would be a re-draw. (Otherwise, you'd have two of your teams face each other which is no good) Random Number Generator would be used for drawing the order for participants to gets their teams drawn, plus used to draw the teams themselves. We can use a similar point system to what was used when everyone had one team except this time they'll have a group of teams to root for and everyone will have at least one true contender. Does this sound okay, too confusing?
