'Breathe' continuing to be more of a streaming hit than 'Firestarter', I wonder why that is. 'Firestarter' was track 1 on the 'This Is The Prodigy' playlist I was listening to yesterday so it doesn't seem to be just that playlists are favouring 'Breathe'. (Not complaining as it is the better of the two for me but it's just surprising!)

 

Pretty decent positions for their tracks anyway, those top two are still in the top 100 when halving the numbers to account for ACR so maybe there could still be a slim chance they could enter the top 100 overall this week, although not holding my breath on that as a) they'll only have had fairly minimal numbers for the first three days of the chart week and b) they're probably going to drop off fairly rapidly anyway.

 

'Omen' was released as 'O' in Germany for some reason, I don't know why it's appearing under that title on this website for the UK as all the versions on UK Spotify are named 'Omen'!

Good to see The Prodigy have two songs top 40 (and I prefer 'Breathe' too so yay at that being higher).

Looks like this Roddy Ricch song may be a proper hit then, can't say I'm excited by that prospect. 'Project Dreams' was a lot better yet that only made the lower end of the Spotify top 200.

Jonas Brothers still climbing too is unexpected, looks like the song will have proper longevity and isn't just a fanbase front loaded hit.

I quite like 'How It Is', Chip sounds nearly unrecognisable on it though, been so long since I last actually listened to a new song by him! Seems a little weird that Roddy Ricch is coming to have a moderately big hit in the UK before ever charting at all on the Hot 100 (I think he's probably due to have a breakthrough hit there some time soon as he's had a couple of songs that were bubbling under, don't see it being this one though as it's obviously the other artists who are responsible for it doing well here).

 

(edit: actually he did make the Hot 100 with a feature on one of Meek Mill's album tracks last year but hasn't yet charted with one of his own songs)

 

Good to see this Octavian song taking off now that it's had Skepta added to it - it's incredibly trashy but a bop and Octavian really deserves the breakthrough, I wasn't sure if he'd ever manage it. It's another one where it'll barely be worth being played on the chart show if it ever makes the top 40 because they will have to completely mangle it though. x

BeBe is building nicely. I think Last Hurrah will end up being a decent sized hit for her. Glad to see it doing well after I'm A Mess didn't really do anything here.
