So according to The Sun, They ain't recording this for a DVD release later. Gutted if true. It was bad enough they didn't record ROTSG last time....WHY? I would love to re-watch it later & re-live those memories!

Also, Tonight on ITV at 8:10pm will be a Spice Girls's announcement. Any ideas? An audience with maybe? **edit** - It's just the Walkers Ad :P

No dvd again.

They are such a let down !!!

😫😫😫

Praying it’s not true, that would just be cruel after last time. Why not film it for Netflix or cinemas, anything. :drama:

Enjoyed another great show last night in Coventry, in the Spice Circle :D Moments of being close to the girls as they walked by on the circle stage was amazing.

It'd be a huge shame if they don't film this tour... I'm kind of shocked if they don't after all the fan drama that came from not filming ROTSG.

Wait why?

I'm pretty sure they THRIVE on fan drama. No one would be discussing them if they gave us what we wanted.

If no DVD then I can only assume it’s because they want to save a buck, but maybe they could’ve hired less dancers and not had a support act to save money instead!

With the huge success of this tour, they could easily get a TV deal to broadcast it at least, without having to put it out on DVD! Clearly there is an apetite for it and they would have to do very, very little about it themselves as it would be lead by the TV station.

Lets' wait but yes it is not looking very positive at all at the moment, is it...

They really don’t care what the fans want. The tour is for cash which I don’t blame them for.

I mean. Of course, I'd love to have a professional recording of the show.

But. I do have to ask...is it extremely common for groups that aren't current forces on the charts with new music to do concert recordings? They're a pretty strictly nostalgia act at this point. They're not even attempting to be more than that. I just figure record execs are looking to push recordings of the acts still trying to chart with new material.

There's also this. It's well-known that three of the remaining four have a history of being self-conscious about their voice or their live performing ability. Granted, that varies among the members...but it's been a consistent thing with Geri throughout her career. It wouldn't surprise me if one (or more) may have reservations about a recording. It's one thing to perform for a huge stadium...and a whole other thing to have your voice isolated and be under the microscope of close-up shots.

I figure there could also be less interest in recordings among many in the biz today...just because so many fans are recording the show on their phones. So many people are doing it that artists and venues have basically HAD to accept it. Why go to the effort of a professional recording when the crowd will just do it, share it and promote it for free? I'm definitely not saying it's better. But it's stunning the number of hits that terrible, shaky phone videos can get.

This UK tour could just be a rehearsal for a Mega Massive stadium tour of the USA in 2020 !

I doubt that - didn't they struggle to sell out dates for Return of The Spice Girls in the US?

They might do a few dates there, but more likely in select cities like Los Angeles and New York at best.

Did they struggle? They sold out quite a lot of dates in the US last time didnt they? I think if they do less dates this time but more concentrated, they will be fine. Plus they seem to be in a much better position nowadays to tour and sell out. Nostalgia for the 90s is HUGE at the moment and they will sell really well, I think. They just need to be strategic about it instead of the MESS that last tour was.

If they continued to work together beyond the current tour, I'd be over the moon. Even if they're just selling crisps. I really don't mind.

Yeah they sold out a lot of the US shows and that tour in total grossed $70million from 47 shows. I seem to recall only the Hartford,CT date being a bit lower because of the snow. And they added more US shows than initially planned.
