Apparently it's for close-up shots.

We havent discussed this week that she has been re filming segments of the tour.

 

Apparently they will use screen to edit it into the DVD. The tour is going to be over edited again and it really will not suit this show!

I know there's a bit of concern about what is meant by the show being "shortened". Hopefully it means cutting out speeches rather than songs.

I wish she'd release it already. The longer it takes, the more I worry they've been fannying around with filters and and camera cuts.

The speeches and jokes and selling of the polaroid have hopefully been cut down !!

I think she's now been teasing for a bit too long. Some people have been waiting to see this show for a year and a half XD lol.

I've never asked around, but I've wondered what other fans made of the editing of her concert tour releases.

 

I've tried to watch sections of her Rebel Heart release, but it always just makes me wonder...who exactly enjoys this? The editing and effects are total chaos. All her live vocals are practically obscured.

 

Luckily, I got to see and enjoy that show in person. But my general feeling is the way that release is edited actually hides the intricacy and energy of the staging and choreography. It was way cooler to see in person. But. I don't know. Maybe the way I watch things is old fashioned? I tend to like concerts presented somewhat similarly to how most live shows are done.

 

In revisiting the Rebel Heart tour, I've definitely gone to fan videos. Unfortunately, you can't exactly do that as much with the Madame X tour...a show I didn't get to see in person and would very much like to experience...preferably without the chaos?

 

I've kinda wondered the logic in editing like this. Is it an attempt to appeal to the youngest demographic?...the result of an artist who's too critical of her own singing and dancing?

Fans hate the editing of MDNA and Rebel Heart Tours!!!

I'm also put off by her over-editing in the last decade tbh.

 

The last two tours were edited terribly, both in terms of chaotic visuals and in terms of ingenuine vocal editing (if she's no longer confident with her live vocals she should at least try and make it more credible. The LAP @ Eurovision fiasco was a mess).

 

So I'm also a bit worried when I hear her saying she wants to see more elements added to the edit, or re-shoots parts, or is taking ages to retouch a concert that was shot a year and a month ago and she's still not happy with (she's been teasing us for months too now, and there's understandably very little shot illegally by fans).

 

I obviously hope I'm wrong and I'll be stunned when we FINALLY get this on Netflix or wherever.

Yeah, at least we don't have fan footage to compare it to (like we do with the Rebel Heart Tour and is what I choose to watch). I especially hope they don't butcher the vocals.

Doing the sound mixing now. Let’s hope the vocals still sound like her. :lol:
