Posted May 3, 20196 yr In light of Kylie sampling Mylo's 'Drop the Pressure' in 'New York City', let's take a look at the other Kylie songs he's had a hand in producing/remixing. Which is your favourite? In the Mood for Love 7aKWm57i-O0 Spell of Desire gkn1RpF9hzA I Believe In You (Mylo Vocal Mix) zbG3ZA08OZI
May 3, 20196 yr Author 'In the Mood for Love' is my top pick of the bunch although there's probably like 10 unused tracks for X that I prefer so I'm not too gutted it didn't get properly released. Really catchy song though, that chorus is a real earworm and I like how Mylo's production fizzles along.
May 3, 20196 yr I have a real soft spot for the Mylo remix of IBIY, even though it doesn't really use anything from the actual song. I'm thinking 'New York City' is my top pick, although I need to think on that one a bit more.
August 8, 20195 yr X is one of the eras where there is many tracks left over. Is this the album where the most unheard/left over tracks appear to come from?
August 8, 20195 yr There is def more than what was left or not used for light years. Very little seems to have been left over from her pwl days.
August 8, 20195 yr Author X is one of the eras where there is many tracks left over. Is this the album where the most unheard/left over tracks appear to come from? By far, yeah! I think the writing process was different to all other eras, as the A&R team sent out briefs to various writers and producers to create material for Kylie. That lead to a lot of unused material and, as a result, a few angry responses from artists like Pet Shop Boys and Mylo, I think Boy George too. There is def more than what was left or not used for light years. Very little seems to have been left over from her pwl days. I think PWL would just write and record until they had an album worth of material so it didn't leave much room for many outtakes.
August 8, 20195 yr Ya I was thinking that's how pwl done it, I doubt in general back in the heyday there was not any song put to use.
