They certainly seem to be together quite a lot, don't they!! Has Gerard recently split up with his partner? And.....yes.....I think the sign behind does mean 'no dogs' :lol:

I did see a picture of Gerard and his girlfriend about a month ago so I think they are still together. Something tells me Darius and Gerard might of been working together recently but on what I'm not sure. The dog belongs to Gerard. I love how he's making D walk it for him while he's just on his phone. :)

Just heard a rumour that Jade Thirlwall (little mix) has been nominated to be on the committee for a new series of pop idol next year along with DJ Mark Ronson🤔. There is meant to be a one off programme on this year looking at what past contestants have been up to since the show and what their experiences were like on the show which Darius is supposed to be taking part in.

Hi Polly.....I'm still here! :hi: I've just got back from a few days away. I think a few of us still pop in to see if there is any news.....you seem to always be one of the first to find out anything! :D ....and I'm sure we all appreciate it! It's wonderful that FHTE is going to be given another chance on the West End. It would be great if D had been working on other projects while he waited to take up his role as Warden again - I wonder how long it will be before the cast is announced!? Even if Darius isn't involved, FHTE is still my favourite musical and I think I will probably book to see it again and find out what changes have been made. Please keep posting any news when you can - that is for as long as Buzzjack still want us, of course! :thumbup: :)

Movement call is happening today. Movement call is when the actors get together to move around the space where they are performing. I wonder if the new cast will be newcomers or 'star' names.... we will see! :)

I've just heard the news myself. Gutted :( but I wish the new cast all the best for the show and I hope it works out better for them. 👍

I was excited about the revival at first. We've been waiting for so long for it and with the way they were talking at the virtual reunion I thought at least the four main original cast members would still be involved and it would of been an opportunity for us to see D again. Now we know it's going to be a completely new cast I'm starting to wonder whether we will ever see him again at all. 😞

'Pop Idol' contestant and theatre actor Darius Campbell Danesh has died at the age of 41.

 

The news was announced by his family on Tuesday afternoon.

 

A statement from his family read "it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh."

 

"Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11th and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners' office."

 

"The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue."

 

"We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother," the statement read.

 

The singer came to prominence as a contestant on the UK reality show 'Pop Idol', finishing 3rd in the 2002 edition of the show behind singers Will Young and Gareth Gates.

 

The Scotsman scored a number one hit in 2002 with the track 'Colourblind' and went on to have a highly successful career on the West End, appearing in the likes of 'Guys and Dolls', 'Chicago', and 'Gone With The Wind'.

So sad to hear this and so young, I was quite partial to Colourblind
This is awfully sad news. Darius was such a talent. I’ll never forget watching his Pop Idol journey where he really turned everyone around about him.
