Good start for England there, only half the times they put the ball in the back of the net actually being goals though ;) Let's hope they can keep that up through the rest of the group.

England's win over Scotland in the Women's World Cup on Sunday was the UK's most watched women's football match of all time, drawing a peak of 6.1 million viewers on BBC television.

The figure - 37.8% of the available audience - breaks the previous record of four million viewers for England's Euro 2017 semi-final against the Netherlands.

Great figures for this.

Netherlands ahead in the first minute of added time against New Zealand. And still New Zealand look as if their record of not winning a game at the Women's World Cup will continue.

Germany midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsan could miss the rest of the Women's World Cup after breaking her toe in the opening Group B game on Saturday.

Lyon's Marozsan, 27, played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 win over China despite the injury but will miss Germany's two remaining group games.

Sweden had a winning start to their Women's World Cup campaign as they finally ended Chile's resistance in a rain-affected Group F match. There was a 40 minute delay due to a lightning storm.

And it is 3-0 to USA against Thailand after 32 minutes. This could be a drubbing with Thailand only being part-time. Good to see that they got a cheer throughout the stadium when they had a shot at goal.

7 minutes into the second half and it is 5-0 to USA.

Edit: Make that six.

Fifa says 14 of 52 Women's World Cup matches have sold out, having previously said it was 20 and claiming tickets were only available for a "few matches".

Only two of nine matches have reached capacity - France's opening win over South Korea in Paris (45,261) and Brazil's victory against Jamaica in Grenoble (17,668).

Asisat Oshoala scores to double Nigeria's lead over South Korea. Korea have had 63% of the procession. You still got to convert the chances though.

And within a minute of the second half, Gauvin scores for France to lead against Norway.

Blimey what a own goal to concede there for France for Norway's equaliser.
It's results like the USAs that put a dampener on the tournament really. No matter how good a team is there shouldn't be other ones there capable of being battered to such an extent. That's the score Germany beat San Marino with in a Euros qualifier 13 years ago...

So Australia vs Brazil. Australia were fancied as a dark horse by some but a disastrous opener against Italy has put them in dire straits as both the Brazilians and Jamaicans are tough opponents.

Yes there shouldn't be matches where teams are battered to that extent. Wasn't sure about USA's celebrations once the eighth went in.
