LMAO at Chris Brown bombing with his album and Bieber duet. No one really cares about him as an artist any more.

I'd love to say this is true but he had a #01 last year and a Top 10 single currently!

Chris Brown is just the epitome of stream trolling with the number of tracks on his last 2 albums.
600k and #01 on Spotify is a flop?! omg

Did you not realise ed had to debut with 10m streams for it not to be deemed a flop :o

Some people in here are unbelievably clueless which is worrying on a music forum. Ed is smashing it beyond belief at the moment.

I’m not sure how people are supposed to act after being called ‘clueless’ by a Westlife fan.

it was a tongue'n'cheek comment calling it a flop, I know it's not a flop

but all things considered (he's the #1 artist in the world, it has Khalid, was into-added as track #1 on NMF and most importantly also HH + all possible playlist on Spotify), I was expecting him to be close to 1 million than to 500K, he did half of what I was expecting, so not a flop but sure underwhelming

I'm with Bjork here, surprisingly! They have used all the bullets apart from the album release very soon and the song is #4 on iTunes and did 600k on Spotify. Of course it's ok, but not huge success SO FAR.

I swear this forum has such a hatred of any Male musician which is intensified further with Ed. He has 3 of the top 6 songs on Spotify doing a combined over 1.5m streams yesterday. How anyone can think 600k is anything but amazing when it is competing against 2 other big hits by him is just utter bias nonsense.

He is splitting his own fanbase/general public's streams between 3 very different songs and all 3 are doing great.

True, but Ed will never be more popular than he has been in the past 5 years, so I believe we are entitled to compare his own success to what he has achieved already.

We are judging all songs by how the performer has done before.

The song has been out 2 days, I don’t even think the ‘so far’ argument works here either. This is song #3 in so many weeks for Ed and sammy has summed it up exactly above.
I mean how many artist with a hit as big as I don't care have it completely overshadowed the next release, it happens all the time. Yet here Ed is with 2 other songs doing amazing. But yeah what a flop Ed is.

Omg some of us are allowed to dislike Ed Sheeran and express that dislike and we don’t have to keep it to ourselves because he’s popular. People are just saying then expected more from him, not that it’s a flop. Same thing gets said for all artists.

Personally I think Ed is one of the most boring artists ever and I can’t understand his appeal beyond bland people liking bland music. There are so many more male artists out there that are just better than he is, George Ezra being a prime example.
