Depending on how well Drake does, it's not unlikely that Blinding Lights will stay top 5 next week anyway.

It seems to be good weather next week which might ses streaming numbers go back up again and have the 2 week decline songs avoid, but who knows they been so up and down with this lockdown

I hope something else comes along soon that actually feels like a big hit single. I can (just about!) cope with the Weeknd going to ACR but it just feels like whatever replaces him next week will be a non-event song. Fingers crossed the charity single somehow holds up, however unlikely that seems.
Maybe it could be like one of those records with a huge collaboration which flops after a decent initial impact, that or it could be like 'I Don't Care' last summer.
Ariana and Justin next Friday!

What an awful collaboration :(

dance monkey needs to be featured in some TV show or a movie so that it can get a reset and come back to the Top 15 x

Don't Start Now managed 25 unbroken weeks on SCR after its first week at its peak (#2) and 23 since it was last there - both are highs for the ACR era.

Although as it was only at risk of ACR for the last 17 of those (when it was over 9 weeks old), maybe the first record should stay with Freya Ridings (Lost Without You survived 22 weeks after first peaking at #9 in its 12th week), while the other one will arguably go to, yay, Perfect which is on its 17th straight week of SCR far, far below its peak (albeit it was starred out for the first 3) and is guaranteed at least another 3...

Ariana and Justin is a charity single for the First Responders Childrens Foundation. Yes another one lol

It's not clear yet that The Weeknd would have been heading for #1 again this week even if he did dodge ACR again - the Beyoncé remix of 'Savage' and Drake's mixtape release both have the potential to be big enough events to push Megan and/or Drake legitimately ahead.

My comment about The Weeknd coming to overtake Tones And I was a bit of a joke to begin with (wouldn't really have expected that to happen SCR or not) but indeed, aged poorly

Surely Beyonce name alone wont push Meghan Thee Stallion to number one...thats crazy if it did that.

That version is so awful and adds nothing to the original version which is also rubbish

It was #1 combined on Spotify last update! It's probably unlikely now that Drake has dropped his mixtape but still a possibility.

I actually think Beyonce improves the song 1000% and sounds like a complete different song

Not sure how anyone can say she adds nothing

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere - the reduced ACR rate of 200:1 sales, does this apply only to the charts or also to the BPI certification level and OCC total sales figures? Or does it only apply to charts and total sales and certifications are always based on 100:1?
ACR only affects the chart, not total sales or BPI certifications.

Thanks!
