I’m pretty sure Million Doller Bill was playlisted as it was about the same time Madonna and Robbie were last playlisted.

 

I remember Radio 1 playing ‘Could I Have This Kiss Forever’ with Enrique and ‘If I Told You That’ with George Michael in 2000 so think they both were playlisted at the time.

I do wish they removed Ed Bieber and added Jax Rexha

Y'all are correct, "Million Dollar Bill" was never playlisted. Neither was "Whatchulookinat" in 2002. Her last playlist was at the end of 2000 with the R.I.P remix of "Heartbreak Hotel". That same year, her duet with Enrique was ignored but the one with George Michael was A-listed

Well she's passed away (RIP) and playlisted now due to that tragedy.

I'd say she's playlisted due to it being Kygos new release which has been received well. So she was on the playlist for 15 years then (1985-2000).

I’m surprised they’ve playlisted Higher Love actually. They seemed to ignore Kygo for quite a long time and I assumed they only playlisted Carry On due to Rita Ora being on it who they love!

Yeah they've been pretty hit and miss with Kygo's latest few releases. I think they've just playlisted this one due to it being well received, though it is great to hear Whitney being played on R1 in whatever form!

I'd say its a safe bet Kygo X Whitney moves up to the B-List tomorrow, a ramp is showing on IMGR which usually only appears for new tracks which are getting more rotation :cheer:

If that was the case, then why was the Rita collab with Jonas Blue & Tiesto "Ritual" snubbed?

And even though Million Dollar Bill was snubbed by Radio 1, it peaked at #5 on the airplay chart and hung around the top 10 for weeks. I think it was big on Radio 2 / Capital FM / Heart FM at the time.

Am I right in thinking 'Million Dollar Bill's X-Factor performance was the sole reason it climbed into the top 10?

It's far too soon to say they've snubbed 'Ritual', would be surprised if it isn't added in the next couple of weeks.

It did seem to jump up from 14-5 in week 3 of its run but 2009 was a time when songs peaked high or else climbed so I'm not sure about he promo!

Her X Factor performance didn't really go down well although I suppose this was peak X Factor so any song performed would probably receive a big boost.
