I agree. I don’t like the idea of going back to the old format with an extra disc. Instead of milking the genre, focus on other genres such as Trance and decades such as 00s

It will probably feature a few newer Country tracks/cross over Country hits that have been out since (Old Town Road, Meant To Be, Ward Thomas, Keith Urban/ Pink etc....)

It really does seem to me that anyone born in this century won’t get any more spin off compilations aimed at them, and it looks increasingly likely that the generation gap is getting further and further apart and all they seem to target are the same audiences who buy into commercial events like Valentine’s Day, Halloween or Christmas and then constantly throwing out music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with occasional releases for the 90’s and then next to nothing to celebrate the last two decades.

I haven’t seen any other confirmed releases but if this 100 Hits thing has ended then they will surely repeat the custom of releasing and recycling song from the Summer and making a pointless Summertime compilation yet again with no originality whatsoever.

It is clear that the record company don’t like taking risks anymore by releasing new and untested spin off themes but only the proven ones that sell to people of a certain age. After so many years of the same thing over and over it’s become tiring and wasteful.

The 'Forgotten' albums were refreshing and unexpectedly really successful, so I don't know why they didn't release more of those for different genres?

Forgotten Love Songs

Forgotten Dance

Forgotten 00s

More Forgotten 90s

The possibilities are endless!

Was really hoping for another Forgotten 90s one.

We need some 00s themed compilations. The closest ones we have are the Pop Explosion CDs from the past few years (which are amazing - even if they don't have radio edits for most of the songs).

That’s my earlier point, the 90’s themed spin off compilations have been tried in the past but less effort has gone into making unique 90’s themed compilations such as the forgotten hits.

As for the 00’s, as much as most of us on the forum would want it and maybe buy it, it seems record companies would rather encourage younger listeners to use their Now Music app to listen to more modern spin off compilations rather than release them on CD and watch them gather dust as many younger listeners won’t bother to purchase the physical product.

It really is a shame and it sums up where the music industry is going as far as purchasable products are concerned.

Love that Dancing gets another NOW appearance. There's some great choices on this version of NOW Country. Might pick this one up.
It looks pretty good actually, I may get it too. I haven't bought Decades of Love or 70s Glam Pop but listened to both on Spotify and they were decent enough, especially the latter but it wasn't my sort of thing enough for a purchase.
Mark Ronson and LeAnne Rimes are questionable choices of “country” songs for disc 2  Kinda surprised there’s no ‘Ho Hey’ either it feels like a staple on things like this
I'm surprised there's no 'Old Town Road' or 'Meant To Be'

Probably appeal to a "younger" demographic. Think this one is for an older generation really.

Does Sam Hunt never license his stuff out orrrr...? I think he's appeared once on the one that was released in 2017, but that's it? It's a shame, coz I'd love to see 'Take Your Time' get some notice and get used on stuff like this </3
Pre-ordered Now Country but there's no way Dancing is a country hit. Some very odd inclusions there.
