Posted July 28, 20195 yr With the massive success of the Ellie Goulding forum trial thus far, two new AFs have been added on a 3 month trial basis. To pass the criteria, they will need 10 posts per week (minimum) from at least 3 different posters. Both artists are currently at #1 in the UK right now - Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. Moderating Shawn will be Calum (head mod), Jay and myself. I will also be overseeing Camila on an interim basis only because we are holding APPLICATIONS! I will have the thread up shortly but we'd like you guys to apply if you'd like to head the Camila forum shortly :D As always, they will show up in your artist selections very shortly and I'll give you all the go-ahead then. July 28, 20195 yr Author I hope I'm proven wrong but I can see Camila bombing :( I'm hoping we end up with some mods who ensure this won't happen - as Ellie has proved, a keen mod team can work wonders!

July 28, 20195 yr Author It was a genuine question, actually. The answer is no - the situation with Paramore has been explained. Lindsey did a great job but it seemed there was little interest from other people for getting that forum off the ground.

July 28, 20195 yr The mods aren’t everything. Forums sometimes don’t work despite hard efforts from enthusiastic mods. I’d steer clear from saying things like ‘good mods will make it work’. It’s like I said with the Lounge a while back, you can’t pin all success and failure on mods. The community have to be trying too. That said, I have zero interest in either of these artists oops.

July 28, 20195 yr yea kinda in agreement with cqm there but ofc willing to be proved wrong :lol: kinda disappointed to see all the trials going to mainstream pop artists though, what about expanding the genre horizon and all that? surprised halsey isn't getting a shot as well but if she does you know where i am :angel:

Perhaps, though an enthusiastic and positive mod team can often motivate the community. It's a two-way street really. Paramore didn't work for a number of reasons but Lindsey wasn't one of them, it was one of your examples of the community not getting involved.
